  Description : eCos is a deeply embedded operating system

  eCos, the embedded Configurable operating system, is an open source
  real-time operating system for deeply embedded applications. It
  meets the requirements of the embedded space that Linux cannot yet
  reach. Linux currently scales from a minimal size of around 500
  kilobytes of kernel and 1.5MB of RAM, all before taking into
  consideration application and service requirements.

  eCos provides the basic runtime infrastructure necessary to support
  devices with memory footprints in the 10's to 100's of kilobytes, or
  with real-time requirements.

  eCos supports EL/IX Level I, a Linux compatibility interface, for
  embedded applications in devices that are too small for even
  stripped down versions of Linux or that require real-time
  capabilities. eCos provides engineers with maximum control,
  flexibility and understanding over all aspects of their embedded
  solution. eCos is highly customizable and adaptable, and can be
  easily configured using the eCos graphical configuration tool to
  meet application-specific requirements.

I don't intend that Debian should run on this, but that it should be
available as a .deb installed batch of source code, in order to easily
use it for building eCos systems.

Bug#153080: ITP: tuxtime -- A client for submitting uptimes to the TuxTime project

2002-07-15 Thread Rune B. Broberg

Severity: wishlist

* Package name: tuxtime
  Version : 0.2.1
  Upstream Author : Morten Aaboe Jensen [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://www.tuxtime.dk/
* License : GPL
  Description : A client for submitting uptimes to the TuxTime project

This is a client for the TuxTime project, which is a replacement for
uptimes.net.
.
All the client basically does is to send your uptime (time since last
reboot) and operating system information to the TuxTime server. It can do
this once, or as a daemon running in the background sending the uptime
automatically using an interval you specify.
.
You will need to register at http://www.tuxtime.dk/ for this to work.

Bug#151940: Adoption follow-up

2002-07-15 Thread Kevin Rosenberg
An adoption update: I upgraded to upstream 1.0b and have added 4 new
binary packages for it (scribe-el, libapache-mod-scribe, scribe-doc,
and scribe-examples). These all test fine on my system.

However, bigloo's executable program afile (Bug 151978) is not working.
scribe's building depends on this executable. So, as soon as this
bug in bigloo gets fixed, I'll be ready to release scribe_1.0b.

Bug#131474: spager

2002-07-15 Thread Jonathan Amery

 I've got about half a spager package done, but it got interrrupted by
moving and getting married (and ssh security problems). spager is
back near the top of my priortiy list now though.

 If I've not got anything done by the end of the month then prod me a bit.

 Jonathan.
