It exports the framebuffer of the X server to one or more clients using strong compression and injects keyboard and mouse inputs from the clients into the server. The protocol used is the well documented RFB 3.3 protocol, so x0rfbserver should be compatible with every client speaking that protocol too, e.g. it should work together with the vnc viewers of ATT. x0rfbserver provides a complete remote control of the desktop on the computer it is running on. -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux foo 2.4.17 #1 sön feb 10 09:40:14 CET 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=sv_SE.ISO8859-1, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.ISO8859-1 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#160601: ITP: snowdrop -- a steganographic text document and C code watermarking tool

Bug#160609: ITP: speex -- Free Speech Coding
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist The Speex project aims to build an open-source (LGPL) patent-free voice codec. Unlike other codecs like MP3 and Ogg Vorbis, Speex is specially designed for compressing voice at low bit-rates in the 8-32 kbps/channel range. Possible applications include Voice over IP (VoIP), Internet audio streaming, archiving of speech data (e.g. voice mail), and audio books. In some sense, it is meant to be complementary to the Ogg Vorbis codec. Home page is at: http://speex.sourceforge.net/ A preliminary packaging of version 0.8.1 is done, will be uploaded to Debian when some man pages are written and a linitan rpath warning gets solved. Jean-Marc Valin writes: Let me know if, or when, you'd like me to add speex into Debian. Well, you can start doing it now, as long as you make sure people know that the current file format may not be definitive (just like when Vorbis was around beta). I think the file format should be frozen within 1-2 months at which point it will be ready for more general use. Jean-Marc -- Jean-Marc Valin, M.Sc.A. X-Virus-Scanned: by AMaViS_feedback Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist I intend to package Thy, a http daemon I have written (and put under the GPL). Why another, one might ask. Well, all the other httpds I tried had some serious disadvantages (boa not supporting name-based virtual hosts, nor ranges; thttpd eating memory like a madman in some situations, having unconfigurable error documents, and listing dotfiles in directory listings; bozohttpd does not support Ranges; wn is annoying; and I didn't like dhttpd either; smeagol does not support userdirs, and the code isn't that great either..), which Thy does not. Experimental packages are available from: deb http://bonehunter.rulez.org/debian sid madhouse I plan to upload the next public release (which will probably be 0.1.292). --- Received: (at 159631-close) by bugs.debian.org; 12 Sep 2002 03:38:39 + From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 11 22:38:39 2002 Return-path: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: from auric.debian.org [206.246.226.45] (mail) by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 17pKoR-0001qa-00; Wed, 11 Sep 2002 22:38:39 -0500 Received: from rdonald by auric.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 17pKcB-0005xw-00; Wed, 11 Sep 2002 23:25:59 -0400 From: Gergely Nagy [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.17 $ Subject: Bug#159631: fixed in thy 0.1.292-1 Message-Id: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sender: Randall Donald [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Wed, 11 Sep 2002 23:25:59 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of thy, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: thy_0.1.292-1.diff.gz to pool/main/t/thy/thy_0.1.292-1.diff.gz thy_0.1.292-1.dsc to pool/main/t/thy/thy_0.1.292-1.dsc thy_0.1.292-1_i386.deb to pool/main/t/thy/thy_0.1.292-1_i386.deb thy_0.1.292.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/t/thy/thy_0.1.292.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
