I think the build looks worse than it actually is. It so far has pointed
out a few bugs in how qt-embedded is packaged already and I'm sure I'll
find more as I go. :)

Thanks for working on this! I very much want to have it available for
Debian Zaurus. I seem to recall that its build system was very scary,
however, which deterred me from packaging it...perhaps that was only opie,
but I think they share most of that stuff. I am interested to hear how it

I have less and less to do with GNOME anything and so I suspect this
package would really be better off with someone else. Anyone wants to
adopt it, be my guest. There's a new upstream version, and hopefully the
povray patches can be removed since povray 3.1 has finally been uploaded.

If anyone does adopt it please drop me an email to let me know.

The package description is:
Allows you to create a fractal terrain (also called a height field)
and transform it using a number of algorithms. It is meant to be a tool for
those who want to generate digital terrain models for use in raytracing or
 other simulations.

Ben.

* Package name: pyro
  Version : 3.1

Description : Distributed Object Technology system written in Python

Pyro is an acronym for PYthon Remote Objects. It is a basic Distributed
Object Technology system written entirely in Python, and for use in Python
only. With this, it closely resembles Java's Remote Method Invocation
(RMI). It is less similar to CORBA - which is a system- and language
independent Distributed Object Technology and has much more to offer than
Pyro or RMI. But Pyro is small, simple and free (MIT software license)!

  Description: Qtopia Free Developer Kit
Qtopia is a graphical environment for Linux designed for handheld PCs
   and other small devices.

I'm not sure if I'll get 1.6 uploaded or not as it's Qt-Embedded 2 based
however Qtopia 3 is supposed to be Qt-Embedded 3 based so that is a
definate plan. But it all depends on how far I get with this version.
I want to at least get the Qtopia Desktop built and available as a normal
package.

I'll take this one. It was fairly easy and straight-forward.

I have made an initial package and will probably release in a day or two.

Bug#178611: RFP: xspringies -- A mass and spring simulation game

  Version : 1.12

* URL : http://athos.rutgers.edu/~decarlo/software.html

Description : A mass and spring simulation game

XSpringies is a mass and spring simulation system. It's intended use is more
like that of a game, than some design package.

It's written using Xlib only. No Motif or any other widgets sets are used.

The animation in XSpringies is done using an off-screen Pixmap. The next
frame is drawn on this pixmap, then is blitted onto the screen. Since the
frame rate is about 30 frames per second, slower machines (or machines which
have poorly written bit-blitting code) will be deathly slow and blinky.
But now, in the days of fast happy machines, you might find yourself turning
down the timestep some so you can see what's going on..

Bug#174596: sted2 is adopted

I remembered sted2 being a text-mode program. Therefore
I thought I should preserve it for the blind community.

Unfortunately, I was a bit too fast with announcing my
intentions. I looked at sted2, and its interface
is text, but the way it is organized is the complete
opposite of blind friendly. I couldnt manage to do anything
useful with it, so I'm withdrawing my ITA, since I'm very unsure if I can care
for it as much as I'd wish.

So, if anyone wants, this one is still open for adoption...

Bug#130267: I am from brazil and want to adopt this package

2003-01-27 Thread Fabio Rafael da Rosa
Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2003-01-27
Followup-For: Bug #130267

I saw that this package is quite outdated in sid.
The guy from portugal adopted this.. ?
I am a native brazilian portuguese speaker and
I am very interested in adoption this package (and
to become a debian developer to, but this is
quite difficult as I can see)...
I use this package a lot (at work) so
is very easy to me to keep it up to date with sid (cause I
use sid.. =-) )

Well, I did the first time I saw the subject.
