Bug#147380: status update
gnunet v 0.5.1 has initial support for libgcrypt, removing its dependence on openssl, and its previously questionable status. It currently requires the use of an unreleased version of libgcrypt, i expect it will work with libgcrypt 1.1.13 when its released, i wont be uploading offical packages untill after that is released. It also depends on libextractor, im currently prearing some package and will file an ITP on it shortly. When i have some debs available for testing i will put them at people.debian.org/~bug1/gnunet Glenn pgpkGvv0iJOpb.pgp Description: PGP signature

Package: wnpp Version: unavailable; reported 2003-02-06 Severity: normal I'm looking for someone who still uses isync and wants to maintain the debian package. I switched to offlineimap soon after adopting isync and fixing/forwarding all its bugs; now it has new bugs that I'm not in a position to work on. It also has a new upstream maintainer; this may complicate getting the licence incompatability that is keeping it in non-us resolved. Michael Elkins has accepted the need to change the license and was going to do so in the next upstream release, but he never made said release.. The new upstream site for isync is isync.sourceforge.net. As of today there is no new upstream version there yet. -- see shy jo pgpxPqtBuCHFu.pgp Description: PGP signature

Bug#179903: ITP: lazyread -- A pager with auto-scroll support
| Subject: Bug#179903: ITP: lazyread -- A pager with auto-scroll support | | | Package: wnpp | Version: unavailable; reported 2003-02-05 | Severity: wishlist | | * Package name: lazyread | Version : 2.0 | Upstream Author : Ryan Culla <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | * URL : http://www.some.org/ | * License : GPL | Description : A pager with auto-scroll support | | Lazyread is a C program that auto-scrolls files or command | output to the screen. It includes dynamic scroll-speed changing, | pause, search strings, color options, file info, different | scroll modes, and much more. | | Originally lazyread was written to read long files while | sitting back in the chair without the need to touch the | keyboard to scroll down the pages. I've taken a breif look at this package and it uses lesspipe. The source tar has a lesspipe in it, but I think that it should be packaged separately. AFAIK, lesspipe itself is not a Debian package (at least I couldn't find one). HTH, Brooks
Bug#180014: ITA: gdm - GNOME Display Manager
Just following Christian's suggestion, since as far as he is concerned, Ryan is no longer the maintainer of gdm.. And seeing as he is one of two main organizers of GNOME2 in Debian, I'd assume he knows a lot better about what should be done with a GNOME2 component. Bug#180014: ITA: gdm - GNOME Display Manager
Package: wnpp Version: unavailable; Severity: normal * Package name: gdm Version : 2.4.1.3 Upstream Author : Martin K. Petersen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gdm * License : GPL Description : GNOME Display Manager (for Gnome2) This is basically the same gdm package based on Ryan Murray & Colin Walters' packaging, but the latest version which integrates with GNOME2. I won't be uploading anything for at least a week and a half so I can get input from people who would know better than I as to whether this should even be uploaded - Ryan has said that he won't replace gdm with a newer version because GNOME2 doesn't run on all architectures yet, but the people who can run GNOME2 shouldn't be penalized with a GNOME1 version of gdm. Tentative packages are located at http://people.debian.org/~ari/unstable/.
Bug#179769: RFP: xf4vnc -- VNC server integration into the XFree86 server

Well last time I looked at it it was just source in CVS (and therefore I did not try it). > The other downside for me is that this doesn't support OpenGL (which > x0rfb does, for example). I skimmed the mailing list No unfortunatly I can not. I have just heard it from the upstream developers directly. I do not know how public that is. They are working on a X4 version of vnc so they will not add my patches to the mainline versions. > (vnc-list) and I couldn't spot it. This can make the packaging a bit troublesome (at least in the sense that it leads to a "this or that" situation, not just some add-on). And I must be blind, because I don't see source. There's the CVS of course. The other downside for me is that this doesn't support OpenGL (which x0rfb does, for example). Ola, can you give me a pointer to this "very similar" something that the realvnc folks are working on. I skimmed the mailing list (vnc-list) and I couldn't spot it. The best thing I could find was a reference to starting an Xvnc server and running a full screen viewer on :0 -- which is silly. Thanks, -- Marcelo
