This package doesn't take much time, because there are no updates for
it, really. But I don't want to track it myself any longer.

Bug#135746: refdb

2003-03-13 Thread Benj. Mako Hill
It's now been more than a year since this ITP was posted and no activity
since August. I'd really love to see RefDB packaged and will use it.

I would like to either change this to an RFP or take on the packaging
myself over the next week if there's no real progress in the very near
future.

Thanks,
Mako

I do not have a Debian machine doing PPTP anymore, and furthermore I
would like to refocus my free software activities, so this package is
up for adoption.

As far as I know there are some some vagueness about the license of the
firmware and associated files.

Could you clarify it ?

Cheers,

Bug#184628: ITP: atom4 -- An original two-player color puzzle game

2003-03-13 Thread H. S. Teoh
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: atom4
  Version : 3-1
  Upstream Author : Hwei Sheng Teoh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL : N/A (the Debian package is the public release)
* License : GPL
  Description : An original two-player color puzzle game

  Atom-4 is a two-player color manipulation game played with colored
  spherical pieces on a board divided into equilateral triangles. The
  player who first makes a row of 4 pieces of the right color wins.
  However, the players do not directly play pieces of the winning color;
  they must construct their winning pieces via color changes that happen
  to neighbouring pieces when a new piece is placed on the board.

  Atom-4 supports both a curses-based text interface and an X11 interface.

I'm not sure if I need to file an ITP, since I am also the upstream author
and this is the first public release of the game; but I'm following the
formality anyway.

Preliminary packages (both source and binary i386) are available from:
http://master.debian.org/~hsteoh/atom4/

NOTE: these are UNOFFICIAL packages which have NOT been fully tested yet.
They are subject to change before the official upload.

Feedback is appreciated.

Package Maintainer Newbie How To

2003-03-13 Thread abhay
Hi:

I would like to help out by maintaining packages that have been orphaned or are
up for adoption. I have experience with programing in C and in Tcl/Tk. Is
there a good How To document which answers the following questions;
1) How to use reportbug to indicate that I have taken over maintenance of a
given package?
2) How to download the source files for the package?
3) How to upload fixed source files for the package?
4) What are the tests that would be required before a package could be uploaded
with fixes?

Any information to help get me started would be most appreciated.

Abhay

Bug#184605: ITP: eagle-adsl -- Drivers and tools for USB ADSL modems based on the Eagle chipset

2003-03-13 Thread Roland Mas
Package: wnpp

* Package name: eagle-adsl
* Version : 1.0.3
* Upstream Author : Multiple, see below.
* URL : http://eagle-usb.fr.st/ (French only, I'm afraid)
* License : GPL
* Description : Drivers and tools for USB ADSL modems based on the Eagle chi
pset

This package provides stuff needed to use the USB-based ADSL modems
based on the Eagle chipset (by Analog devices). That includes (at
least) the Sagem [EMAIL PROTECTED] 800 modem, which happens to pe provided by at
least one ADSL IAP (Free, in France).

Binary packages:
- kernel-patch-eagle-adsl: source for a kernel module (called
  "adiusbadsl);
- eagle-adsl-data: firmware and DSP code;
- eagle-adsl-tools: pppoa, monitoring scripts, configuration helpers,
  hotplug stuff.

Current packages are available on http://people.debian.org/~lolando/ and
will be uploaded in a few days once I finish ironing out a few things
(and test stuff a bit more).

Bug#180368: nautilus-media: looking for a sponsor

2003-03-13 Thread Johannes Rohr
The package is ready and can be downloaded from
deb http://home.arcor.de/j.rohr/debian/unstable/ ./

It is lintian- and linda clean. Both source and binary have been
checked. However, we are still looking for a sponsor. A request on
debian-mentors hasn't met any response yet.
