Just do an upload with your name in the maintainer field, close the bug
and they are yours. Btw, I meant to contact you about your relative links
patch. I had to back it out in my latest upload because it broke things.

This is a small preload library (plus a small script to facilitate
calling applications) which wraps time() and gettimeofday() system
calls.

I use it mainly for testing corner cases in date handling; playing with
the system date tends to disturb normal use of a system.

Bug#180050: O: isync -- synchronize a local maildir with a remote IMAP4 mailbox

2003-03-26 Thread Nicolas Boullis
Hi Joey!

I might be interrested to take over isync, since I use it.
But as you prefer to use offlineimap rather than isync, I wonder how
both compare. As you have use both, could you tell me how they compare?
And do you know how both compare with mailsync?

One feature I like in insync is the ability to limit the number of
synchronized messages to a given number, and it seems that this feature
is not available in mailsync/offlineimap.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Greetings,

I crave your indulgence as I contact you in such a surprising manner. But I
respectfully insist you read this letter carefully as I am optimistic it will
open doors for unimaginable financial reward for both of us.

This business transaction might not fall within the wide spectrum
of your business activities, but I plead your assistance, as your
flair for profitable business is needed.

Permit me to introduce myself, I am Mr.Patric Janka Personal account manager of
late Mr Alam Ahmad Jani in Union bank ,I am writing this letter to ask for your
support and co-operation to carry out this business opportunity in my
department.

Every five years, Nigeria banks transfer to its treasury millions
of dollars of unclaimed deceased depositors funds in compliance with the
banking laws and guidelines, in majority of cases with reference to my
bank-Union bank , the money normally runs into several millions of dollars.

A foreigner, Late Engineer Mr Alam Ahmad Jani, an Oil Merchant/Contractor in
Nigeria ,until his death four years ago in a ghastly air crash has a closing
balance of US9,500,000.00(Nine Million,Five Hundred Thousand Dollars)Ever since
his death and up till this time of writing, no next-of-kin or relation of his
has come forward to claim his money with us. Fervent valuable efforts have been
made by Union bank to get in touch with any of the Alam`s family or relatives
but proved to no avail.

Naturally, as long as Alam`s money remains unclaimed, the bank
remains richer in free funds with his money. However, with my position,

I can present you to claim the fund as a relative/next of kin if
you agree with me on private basis. Yes, I can present you as i am the account
manager of the dead man

The request for you as next of kin in this business is occasioned
by the fact that the customer was a foreigner and a Nigeria cannot stand as
next of kin to a foreigner,Hence, I plead for your assistance with the
intention of getting this unclaimed money amounting to US9,500,000.00 (Nine
Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars Only) transferred into a company/private
bank account that you will present.

You stand to gain a negotiable percentage of the fund if you agree to help me
actualize this opportunity; I will not contact any other person until I am
convinced that you are not interested in this proposal.

Contact me immediately indicating your willingness and also give
your direct and confidential fax and phone numbers for the effective
communication that this transaction requires.

I will furnish you with the procedure and also enlighten you on
how the funds will be disbursed and shared on receipt of your response.

I will also require your advice in the areas of investment as I plan to
establish a business venture in your country with my share.

Please reach me only on this private email address:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
or Tel: 234-1-4741619

Remember that a business of this nature needs to be
kept confidential.

Yours Sincerely,

Isn't kpsk already in Debian as package name "kpsk"? Or is this another

The kpsk package is uninstallable in unstable at this moment, as it

Bug#170920: ITA: fdflush

2003-03-26 Thread Matthias Urlichs
IMHO, this program still is a good idea.

- It's smaller than floppycontrol and doesn't do the myriad other things
which floppycontrol does.
- It's useful for things which are not (broken) floppies.

For instance, if you change pc-card SDRAM disks while your laptop is
asleep, the kernel doesn't notice either...

Nice tutorial about Linux. Unfortunately only German version available.
Making it popular by Debian might probably enforce translation. It is
especially interesting to package SlefLinux because it is part of the
Knoppix life CD and there is an ongoing effort to bootstrap a modularized
Knoppix from official Debian archive.

Bug#139475: oprofile RFP

2003-03-26 Thread Al Stone

John,

I contacted you quite some time ago about doing this packaging --
and it's actually in pretty good shape (IMHO). You can pick up
the current versions at ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/linux/prospect.
I'm using both OProfile and prospect as my initial packages in
the process of becoming a Debian developer; it's just taking me
a lot longer than I had planned on. My apologies -- I should
have kept you more up to date on my progress.

Granted, there is a more recent version of OProfile. My
reason for working with 0.4 for now is so that I can get
OProfile and prospect both done and released into the Debian
archive at the same time -- and full 0.5 support isn't quite
done in prospect yet. As soon as I get these versions accepted
into the Debian archive, I'll wrap up the work on the newer
versions of OProfile an prospect and get them submitted, too.

In the meantime, could you explain your comment below about
the "file is no longer included" a bit? I assume you mean the
smpboot.h file, but I wanted to double check. I'd like to be
able to fix this version, if at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

John Levon wrote:

/proj/marcelo/kernel/kernel-2.4.21-rc5/include/asm/smpboot.h

Please try a more recent OProfile source, this file is no longer
included.

I'm happy to help the debian people get oprofile packaged; please feel
free to contact me if you have any further problems.

regards,
john (oprofile maintainer)

Subterfugue is a rather complicated and (at the moment) i386-only Python
program (as per the .dsc). I do not have enough experience with the PPC
insides to extend this program for PPC, which is the architecture I'm
using for the most part.

Besides, upstream has all but abandoned it (see the top of
http://subterfugue.org).

datefudge is a rather small tool which uses no assembly language, should
work on all Debian architectures, and does not touch anything besides
these two library calls.
