I am looking for a sponsor for kmut: A tiny utility for adjusting kernel module usage counts. See the url above and bug #186180. I already have a package in unstable: dnstop, sponsored by Bernhard R. I'm not realy good in anthing near the kernel, so a more experienced sponsor would be better. (And I may missing the right environment to test it, as most here is 2.2 or to importent to make such deep tests). Some things I saw in the first look: * The manpage: DESCRIPTION This manual page documents briefly the kmut command. This is a bit misplaces. Desription should describe the command, not the manpage. The "This manual page was written" is also best placed only at the end of the manpage. I'd suggest to place a "be careful" early (perhaps NAME part) and information about the supported kernels. (seems to need 2.4, if I read correct) * the package description should describe kernels it supports and the danger of the changing interface. I wonder, if "Priority: extra" might be better than "optional" * Strange .orig.tar.gz It has another md5sum than the file described in debian/copyright. (so filesizes and dates seem to be similar. repacked or is this download-cgi there strange?) * CVS-entries The .diff.gz contains a CVS directory. This should not slip in there. It is a robot which provides unattended mailing list subscription maintainance. For this, users send subscribe/unsubscribe commands via Email to the OSSP petidomo robot which in turn maintains the subscriber list for the MTA. For each posting to the mailing list, OSSP petidomo first applies UCE filters and then reinjects the mail into the MTA for delivery to all subscribers. What distinguishes OSSP petidomo from other mailing list managers is his UCE filtering technique based on requiring an authentication reply from unknown senders. -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux herbalizer 2.4.20-1-586tsc #1 Sat Mar 22 12:35:27 EST 2003 i586 Locale: LANG=C, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It uses strong encryption algorythms, to ensure the data are as safe as possible, and allow the user to have the complete control over all the algorithms used in the process. . Bug#185295: supplied by docbook2man (docbook-utils)
I've since discovered that docbook-utils supplies a better maintained DocBook-to-man converter, in the form of docbook2man. Interestingly, docbook2man is in fact based on docbook2X. I'll leave this bug report open until one further issue gets resolved: docbook-utils (docbook2man) uses docbook2man-spec.pl rather than docbook2X's newer conversion tools. docbook2man-spec.pl is SGML only, while the newer ones support DocBook/XML as well. I've raised this question at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=189951 When it's resolved I'll be happy to close this RFP. Drew
