Bug#196455: ITP: wv2 -- a library for converting Microsoft Word documents
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Hi all. I intend to package the wv2 library with binary packages libwv2-1 and libwv2-dev. Although wv2 and wv are distributed from the same website, they are shipped as different source packages on different release cycles. I tried some months ago to contact the wv maintainer to see if (s)he is planning to upload wv2 but received no response. I'd thus like to package wv2 myself since it is required by newer versions of koffice. Package name: wv2 Version: 0.0.9 URL: http://wvware.sourceforge.net/ License: LGPL Upstream Authors: Dom Lachowicz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Shaheed Haque <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Werner Trobin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and David Faure <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Description: a library for accessing Microsoft Word documents The wv2 library allows access to Microsoft Word documents, for the purpose of converting them to other formats. This library is intended as an eventual replacement for the wv library. -- Ben Burton [EMAIL PROTECTED] Public Key: finger [EMAIL PROTECTED] Morality is the attitude we adopt toward people whom we personally dislike. - Oscar Wilde

If you are using the functions of this program, it is recommended that you setup/configure a firewall to protect your machine - guidedog does not setup a firewall for you. To configure a firewall, the Guarddog program, by the same author, is recommended. . Guidedog requires iptables, and therefore Linux kernel 2.4+. In build-time, this system unpacks their original debian source packages by 'dpkg-source -x' and propagates policy-defined targets of debian/rules to the unpacked build-tree. Description: Nested Build System of Debian Source Package Debnest provides a build system to create debian binary packages such that original upstream sources include debian source packages, i.e. .dsc and other files such as .orig.tar.gz and diff.gz, or .tar.gz. . This allows as follows: * Manage your own debian/ such as debian/rules, debian/control, debian/changelog and so on separately away from their original packages. * Create your own tuned packages with your own DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS, CC or something like that from their original packages without specifying environment variables. * Create your own tuned packages with applying pathces to their original sources as well as debian/* files separating them completely away from their original source packages. * Make it possible to redisribute debian binaries which restrict source-code from being distributed in modified form _only_ by the distribution of "patch files" with the source code for the purpose of modifying the program at build time. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux taru.local.valinux.co.jp 2.4.20-686 #1 Mon Jan 13 22:22:30 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=ja_JP.EUC-JP, LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.EUC-JP --- Received: (at 194409-close) by bugs.debian.org; 6 Jun 2003 16:38:53 + >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jun 06 11:38:53 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from auric.debian.org [206.246.226.45] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 19OKEv-0006ML-00; Fri, 06 Jun 2003 11:38:53 -0500 Received: from troup by auric.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 19OKDD-0002wE-00; Fri, 06 Jun 2003 12:37:07 -0400 From: Masato Taruishi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: lisa $Revision: 1.23 $ Subject: Bug#194409: fixed in debnest 0.0.1 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: James Troup <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 06 Jun 2003 12:37:07 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of debnest, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: debnest_0.0.1.dsc to pool/main/d/debnest/debnest_0.0.1.dsc debnest_0.0.1.tar.gz to pool/main/d/debnest/debnest_0.0.1.tar.gz debnest_0.0.1_all.deb to pool/main/d/debnest/debnest_0.0.1_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. These printers are often erroneously referred to as winprinters or GDI printers. However, Microsoft GDI only mandates the API between an application and the printer driver, not the protocol on the wire between the printer driver and the printer. In fact, ZjStream printers are raster printers which happen to use a very efficient wire protocol which was developed by Zenographics and licensed by most major printer manufacturers for at least some of their product lines. ZjStream is just one of many wire protocols that are in use today, such as Postscript, PCL, Epson, etc. The package request is attached. Bug#108931: libapache-mod-cvs
Hi Baruch Looking for this kind of module for apache, I found this kinda orphaned ITP. You told almost 2 years ago that the package was mostly packages, that's a pity it's not been uploaded since ;) Do you want to (finally ;) ) upload a package ? If not and if you don't mind, I'll take the ITP. Regards, Mike -- "I have sampled every language, french is my favorite. Fantastic language, especially to curse with. Bug#196383: RFP: libxml-nodefilter-perl -- A generic node-filter class for DOM traversal

Bug#196383: RFP: libxml-nodefilter-perl -- A generic node-filter class for DOM traversal
Package: wnpp Version: N/A; reported 2003-06-06 Severity: wishlist * Package name: libxml-nodefilter-perl Version : 0.01 Upstream Author : Christian Glahn * URL : downloadeable from CPAN * License : perl Description : A generic node-filter class for DOM traversal XML::NodeFilter is a generic node-filter class for DOM traversal as specified in the DOM Level 2 Traversal and Range specification. It extends that specification so this class is more easy to use for perl programmers. The package is needed for later versions of libxml-libxml-perl and thus should be packaged. It is probably a good idea to have the package packaged by somebody familiar with the perl XML modules. Doesn't it make infinitely more sense to have gtk-theme-switch handle *both* gtk 1.x and gtk 2.x themes? Why do we need two packages for essentially the same program? Marcelo
