Not really add, but change. Make it more informative and less
marketing. The above description might be a seller for someone with an
itch to work _on_ an editor, as opposed to with an editor. What makes
it a good editor to edit source code with?

Bug#159906: Volunteer for testing this feature

I've been missing this cli feature for quite some time now. I would like
to know where we stand with this hardware? And I could do some beta
testing, if required?

I am not in touch with him. I am in touch with Romain GUY, jext's
upstream author. I last saw Romain yesterday and he agreed the fact I
maintain the official Debian package.

> And if yes,

I did not take a look at this package. I plan to do it. I filled this ITP
in order to prevent other people from working on jext's debian package.
I plan to upload a Debian package. To me the most important is that
jext get in Debian. The earliest would be the best!

Yeah, I know i should have removed this sentence, but I don't see where
the problem is. The description is quite explicit. What do you want me
to add ?

Bug#205733: ITP: wmalbum - a dock app that displays album covers

2003-08-16 Thread Jay Graves
Package: wnpp

URL: http://wmalbum.sourceforge.net/
LICENSE: GPL

Package: wmalbum
Descriptions: wmalbum is a WindowMaker dock applet that displays album covers
for
songs being played by XMMS. You must already have images of the album
covers stored near the file being played. WMAlbum provides a handy
circular menu for play/skip/etc, and can replace wmxmms.

I have a lintian clean package available at
http://jay.skabber.com/debian so wmalbum just needs a kind sponsor.

Could you please provide an original description and not a rip of the

sound really helpful to me.

Description : Really Slick Screensavers GLX Port

rss-glx is a GLX port of the Really Slick Screensavers collection by
Terry Welsh (http://www.reallyslick.com/). Also included are several
other OpenGL screensavers ported from other platforms.
 .
The screensavers can either be run as stand-alone applications or get
integrated into XScreenSaver's list of active screensavers. More
information about using these with xscreensaver can be found in
 /usr/share/doc/rss-glx.

Screensavers included in this package are: Biof, Busy Spheres,
Colorfire, Cyclone, Euphoria, Fieldlines, Flocks, Flux, Helios, Hufo's
Smoke, Hufo's Tunnel, Lattice, MatrixView, Plasma, Skyrocket,
 Solarwinds, SpirographX, and Sundancer2.

Side note: this package is intended to replace rsxs, which has gone
mostly unmaintained upstream, enough to make it very aggravating for an

I intend to orphan the rsxs package. It has gone incredibly unmaintained
upstream, and there is a much better alternative, rss-glx, which I plan
to package instead. If this package is not adopted within a few months,
I'll just have rss-glx replace it and remove the rsxs package from
Debian.

The package description is:
Really Slick XScreenSavers (rsxs) is an X11 port of the Really Slick
Screensavers collection by Terry Welsh (http://www.reallyslick.com/).
 .
The screensavers can either be run as stand-alone applications or get
integrated into XScreenSaver's list of active screensavers.
 .
 rsxs contains the following eye-candy:
  * rs-plasma: Draws gooey colourful plasma stuff. Crank up the speed and
make it psychadelic!
  * rs-cyclone:Simulates tornadoes on your computer screen.
  * rs-fieldlines: A simulation of electric field lines between charged
particles. Zap!
  * rs-helios: Particles explode onto the screen through smooth Helion
surfaces.
  * rs-euphoria: Don't look at this if you suffer from motion sickness.
  * rs-lattice:Fly through an infinite lattice of interlocking rings.
  * rs-skyrocket: The mother of all fireworks screensavers.
 .
For instructions for integrating this package into xscreensaver,
please see /usr/share/doc/rsxs/README.Debian after installing this package.

Description : A source code editor written in Java

Jext was created to support Java programming language. But nowadays it
can edit many other types of source codes. Among them you'll find C,
C++, C#, ASP, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, TeX, XHTML, XSLT, Eiffel, JSP...

Besides it provides advanced features to ease you work. Manage your
projects with the bookmarks tool, categorize your opened files
through workspaces, directly open zipped files, get a file straight
from the Internet, mail your source code, executes system commands
within the internal console, type faster thanks to HyperTyper and to
the customizable code snippets library, add new features with plugins,
discover the advanced editing capabilities, use the internal Python
 interpreter...

Jext meets all your needs! Developers will also appreciate the open

You can even write your own plugins (in Python or Java).

The Nuke Image extension for Mozilla adds a "Remove this image" context
menu option to all images. When this option is selected, the image is
removed from the displayed page layout. It's useful for quickly getting
rid of annoying animated graphics or intrusive advertisements.

I have a package more or less ready. The binary package will be called

Package: cgiwrap
Priority: optional
Section: web
Installed-Size: 244
Maintainer: Jim Lynch <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Architecture: i386
Version: 3.7.1-0.2
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.2.4-4)
Conflicts: suidmanager (<< 0.50)

Description: allows ordinary users to run their own CGI scripts
a gateway that allows more secure user access to CGI programs on
an HTTPd server than is provided by the http server itself. The
primary function of CGIwrap is to make certain that any CGI
script runs with the permissions of the user who installed it,
and not those of the server.

Justification: All packages were NMUed several times, outstanding RC
bugs; was contacted several times, promised ed to fix but never did.

Description : Blitzed open proxy monitor library

An open proxy detection library, developed by the blitzed IRC
network team. Its original use was to detect open proxies running on
clients connecting to various IRC servers, but it has evolved to become a
generic open proxy detection library.

Also, I have been in touch with Martin Wuertele, who maintains bopm
which relies heavily on libopm, to make sure that he is not working on
debianizing libopm seperately.

Description : Tape transfer utility for CBM/Oric-1 machines

Converts Commodore C2N pulse streams to binary format that consists of
192-byte tape headers and variable-length program blocks. Tested on the PET,
VIC-20, C64, C128, plus/4, and on the Tangerine Oric-1. The program can be
interfaced to a cassette drive emulator device C2N232 via RS-232, and it can

Description : A utility for tracking and invoicing time spent on projects

GnoTime is the GNOME Time Tracker, a program which allows you to track the
time you spend on any number of tasks and projects. GnoTime also allows you
to generate customised reports and annotated logs of these times.

Tasks within GnoTime can be marked as billable, non-billable, on hold, or
free of charge, and invoices can be generated based on these data.

GnoTime also includes various features such as sub-projects, project
planning, scheme extensions and automatic merging and clean-up of short
intervals of time.

GnoTime was formerly included as 'gtt' in the package gnome-utils.

Description : DDV Chipcard Plugin for libopenhbci
This plugin for libopenhbci enables libopenhbci to work with ddv
HBCI chipcards (i.e. most cards save rsa). See libopenhbci and/or
libchipcard for further details and check with chipcard-tools'
"hbcicard type" whether you need this.

Supplementary Information:
- Many users of libopenhbci (e.g. via gnucash-hbci or aqmoney (to be
packaged)) will need this plugin which was split from libopenhbci.
- I'm presently maintaining the libchipcard package.
- I've checked with James, the libopenhbci debian maintainer about this ITP.
(As libchipcard is rather closely related with libopenhbci and I'm
heavily using it, we're coordinating anyway.)

Cheers

T.

A virtual machine (a CPU) created for teaching purposes. All the
programs are written in Python and are very easy to extend to
  incorporate new assembly-like pseudo-intuctions. A TK-based
interface is provided, to help debugging or just examining the
execution of programs. Another program permits a tutor to create
exercises and write conditions to grade the students solutions.=20

Description : a PGP packet visualizer

pgpdump is a PGP packet visualizer that displays the sequence of OpenPGP
or PGP version 2 packets from a file.

The output of this command is similar to the output of GnuPG's `list
packets' command, however, pgpdump produce more detailed output that is
easier to understand.

Description : Generate SQL from Perl data structures

This module was inspired by the DBIx::Abstract. The intention of this
module is to provide abstract SQL generation methods. With this module
you can generate SQL, but still retain complete control over the
statement handles and use the DBI interface if you wish.
 .
While based on the concepts used by DBIx::Abstract, there are several
important differences, especially when it comes to WHERE
clauses. Some of the concepts used have been modified to make the SQL
easier to generate from Perl data structures and hopefully more
intuitive. The underlying idea is for this module to do what you
mean, based on the data structures you provide it. The big advantage
is that you don't have to modify your code every time your data
changes, as this module figures it out.

Description : Utility to create system tables overview in HTML, DOT and
XML

This is a utility which will run through PostgreSQL system tables and
returns HTML, DOT, and 2 styles of XML which describes the database.
The HTML is human readable (via webbrowser). The first style of XML is
actually the fileformat of Dia, a UML diagram tool. The second type of
XML is similar to the HTML but in the Docbook 4 format. It enables yous
to mix in other docbook documentation via the XREFs, generating PDFs,
HTML, RTF, or other formatted documents. Between these tools and JavaDoc
with the appropriate XREFs, documentation about a project can be generated
quickly and be easily updatable yet have a very professional look with
some DSSSL work.
