Description: Powerful project making make program
 XMAKE is similar to other make programs out there, but is specifically
 designed to allow you to easily construct multiple complex dependencies
 without getting screwed by default rulesets. XMake contains a number of
 features specifically designed to trivialize the construction of
 compilation rules.

Description: Keyboard state indicator and switcher for xkb
 This program is a keyboard state indicator and switcher for xkb. Features:
 - shows current xkb group (pixmap in its own window)
 - allows switch group by mouse click
 - allows individual state for every window
 - can install its own button (indicator/mouse switcher) on every window's
   title bar
 - can restrict keyboard states for every window to only two (main group -
   alternative group) if xkb set up for more than two groups.
 Bugs:
 - documentation is partially in Russian (koi8-r charset) only
Task: cyrillic

Justification: No upload since 2001, some NMUs, didn't ack NMu
properly, not a maintainer or in NM queue

Bug#196504: Thunderbird Status?

2003-09-18 Thread Søren Boll Overgaard
Hi,

I have a few users who are anxiously awaiting thunderbird packages. Are
you making any headway with this, or would you be interested in a
co-maintainer? I would happy to start work on the package this weekend.

Thanks.

Description: Configure your system for different network environments.
 Netenv creates a file containing variable assignments which reflect the
 current environment. It is especially useful for notebook computers, since
 it is used (if configured) by the PCMCIA setup scheme included in the
 Debian pcmcia-cs package and the plip setup script included as an example
 in this package. You can also use netenv configure your windowmanager or
 your printing environment.
 .
 Note that you either have to specify a kernel parameter or enter the chosen
 environment by hand during boot time. The boot process will stop until you
 entered something.

Bug#211512: RFA: kernel-patch-lpp -- Display a graphical boot-screen with progress bar

2003-09-18 Thread Gordon Fraser
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Unfortunately I no longer have the time it would take to maintain this
package properly. LPP was originally written for Linux 2.2 and hacked
up ever since as upstream stopped supporting it very soon. So by now
there are some serious issues in the code that are not easily
fixed. (kernel panics, problems when used with other kernel patches
like the preemptive patch, oopsing on SMP machines)

I have a couple of patches from other people and plenty of experiences
from the hours I spent debugging the boot process with this patch so
I'll do my best to support anyone who wants to take the package over.

Maybe the time would be better spent to support the bootsplash ITPs
#190560 or #188439 though as that would be a nicer replacement for
LPP. So if there's no one willing to take the package over within a
reasonable time I'll file a bug to have it (and its RC bug) removed
from the archive.

Gordon

I request an adopter for the wmmemmon package.
The package description is:
 Wmmemmon is a dockapp which shows the memory and swap usages of the local
 host. It does so in a very graphical way, emulating the same somewhat retro
 LCD look, used by other dockapps such as wmmemload, wmlongrun and wmcpuload.

There are currently no open bugs against wmmemmon.

Bug#211538: ITP: camsource -- a modularized and multithreaded webcam-streaming software

2003-09-18 Thread Thomas -Balu- Walter
Package: wnpp
Version: N/A; reported 2003-09-18
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: camsource
  Version : 0.7.0
  Upstream Author : Richard Fuchs [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://camsource.sourceforge.net/
* License : GPL
  Maintainer : Thomas -Balu- Walter [EMAIL PROTECTED]
  Description : a modularized and multithreaded webcam-streaming software
 Camsource grabs images from a video4linux device and makes them available to
 various plugins for processing or handling. It features a modularized and
 multithreaded design to offer a large amount of flexibility. A server plugin
 runs in its own thread, which makes it possible to use the same grabbed frame
 for several purposes at the same time. There are also filter plugins, which
 can be daisychained to create useful and not-so-useful effects in images. The
 configuration happens through an xml config file, hopefully making configuring
 camsource an easy task.

I have contacted the upstream author who liked the idea of getting an
official debian package, but I had (have) to learn creating packages
myself first ;). I am using this software for some time now and think
it's a nice tool to add to the debian pool.

retitle 162572 RFA: ldapexplorer -- a set of PHP-scripts to administrate LDAP

thanks

I was planning to adopt this package, and started a maior rewrite,
mainly because of #149563 (which should be taged security by the way). I
had the core functionality reimplemented, but missed some features. Then
I found out that there are better replacements for an ldap admin web
application and abandoned the project. I guess the best thing would be
to remove ldapexplorer from the archive.

Severity: wishlist

* Package name: yaws
  Version : 1.30
  Upstream Author : Claes Wikstrom [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL or Web page : http://yaws.hyber.org
* License : EPL
  Description : Yet Another Web Server

Yaws is a HTTP high perfomance 1.1 webserver.

Yaws is entirely written in Erlang, futhermore it is a multithreaded
webserver where one Erlang light weight process is used to handle each
client.

Yaws has excellent capabilies to generate dynamic content. Erlang code
can be embedded into the HTML code in manner similar to php. As matter
of fact, the ad-hockery of php was one of major reasons I started the
Yaws project.

Furthermore, Yaws has excellent performance and is able to ship
several thousands of dynamically generated pages per second.

Hi,

 You've expressed in the wnpp bug report #170920 the intent to
 adopt fdflush. This bug report is still open although you're
 listed as its maintainer now.

It seems that the sponsored upload didn't include the full changelog. It do=
es=20
say:

fdflush (1.0.1-8) unstable; urgency=3Dlow

  * New maintainer (closes: #170920)

I don't see why it matters what is written. Not when it's about people.
It can always be crossed out.
