Bug#196199: status?
hey guys, what's the status of the adoption? i have a machine that i'd really like to put something from the .8.x series and would love a debian package of it (as opposed to *gasp* having to install from source:). i see a lot of i'm going to take care of it type messages but no packages being uploaded, so i'm curious if this is actively being worked on, and/or if help is needed with the packaging process. sean signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#196199: Testing package
Hi all, I'm working on it! :-) I have a finished test package on gluck[1]. I will test the package on some hosts today, and after this I will upload it. If someone is willing to test the package... Bug#196199: status?
hi thorsten, On Wed, Dec 17, 2003 at 12:11:10AM +0100, Thorsten Sauter wrote: I have the package ready. I will put it tomorrow on gluck. The only missing point is, that I have currently no upgrade path from the very old 0.6.x version. there are instructions for upgrading on the raxnet website for this, though i'm not sure if this was intended for 0.8x to 0.8y upgrades or if this would work for going from 0.6x: http://www.raxnet.net/products/cacti/documentation.php?action=viewid=7 I think I will upload cacti in the next few days (2-3 days). cool. if you want, i have a machine running a 0.6 series version that it doesn't matter if the cacti database gets hosed on, i can experiment with it and let you know about the upgrade path, maybe throw in some config if it's necessary. could you give me a link to the package sources? sean signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#201411: Proposed packages to remove from testing
Nathanael Nerode wrote: rocks-n-diamonds: Copyright problems for quite a while. (#210233). Make sure this doesn't get into a release! It's orphaned, and when/if the new maintainer (or QA) uploads a clean version, it can go back in. (Incidentally, its (ex-)maintainer Charles Briscoe-Smith is utterly MIA and should probably be locked out of all Debian machines for now, until he reappears. I wish there was a good way to see the list of all Debian Developers who have been marked MIA and locked out already) I sent a mail to the last DD who made the ITA, asking if he was still willing to make the package. Still no response for now. I'll take over the package or make an NMU, or help him in the packaging. I sent a mail to the upstream author of the game. He gave me more informations on the copyright problems. The proposed solution is to make a debian specific release, with all copyrighted materials removed. Raphael

I suppose that no one is working on it. Some guys claim I want to adopt it but no work was done. If no upload is done since the beginning of the next year, I think I will take the package again. I like cacti and I don't want it to be removed from debian. In an attempt to recreate one of the most pivotal operations in World War II, D-Day: Normandy pits Axis versus Allied forces against each other during the Normandy Campaign. Starting with Operation Overlord, soldiers must storm the scarred sands of Omaha Beach in order to gain a foothold into future land invasions.D-Day: Normandy's campaign system allows teams to actually gain or lose territory by advancing the players back and forth between maps (depending on which team wins the battle). In this way, players are able to relivethe battles from history while learning the importance of territorial control and strategy. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux salchicha 2.6.0-test9-hp2 #1 Mon Nov 17 07:53:05 CLST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C

I attented the Linux Bangalore 2003 conference and the IndLinux project (http://www.indlinux.org) seems to be coming along pretty well. They're based on Morphix.
