i mind if you take over, as i want to maintain it. but if you want to be

I heard in #supertux on freenode you have put together a package of
supertux.

Do you intent to upload it to Debian, resolving the RFP at
?

Do you possibly need a co-maintainer, or do you mind if I take over?

Cheers,

Bug#171693: uploaded wondershaper

2004-05-14 Thread Vince Mulhollon
Hello,

I have uploaded a -1 of the wondershaper package.

This relates to the following WNPP bugs:
171693 opened 1 year and 162 days ago
210660 opened 244 days ago

I'll close the bugs once the package is accepted.

It works fine with "stock" 2.6 kernel Debian machines.
I don't have anything older to test it on.

Thanks!

This bot is based upon infobot-0.44.2 by Kevin Lenzo. The basis of infobot
is still there but _many_ wild features have been added. Along the way, a
couple of typos were spotted in the original infobot source and fixed in
this version. Without infobot, there would be no blootbot so all thanks to
Kevin for bringing infobot in the first place.
 .
 FEATURES
* Additional information stored with factoids. (factinfo)
* Wide range of statistics for Bot, Factoids, IRC, Debian.
  (status, factstats, ircstats, chanstats, cmdstats)
* Advanced topic management. (the first cool feature)
* Improved factoid search, allowing search by key or value.
* Freshmeat support (freshmeat.net)
* Debian Contents and Packages, search and info.
* much more...

Bug#144042: Possible solution for bug#144042?

2004-05-14 Thread Henk van de Kamer
Hello,

After browsing the list of wanted packages, I found this one. A lot
has happened since the original request. In testting for example there
is now a package dosemu-freedos (see
http://packages.debian.org/testing/otherosfs/dosemu-freedos).

However the mentioned package doesn't resolve point 2 of the original
request. The dosemu-freedos package is also in contrib because it
depends on non-free software. Or is it? In the build.txt of the
FreeDOS kernel I found the following:

"The recommended compiler and assembler at the time of writing
(2004/01/31)
are OpenWatcom 1.2 and NASM 0.98.38."

OpenWatcom (http://www.openwatcom.org/about/info_content.html) is a
project to free the commercial Watcom compiler. It's license is IMHO
free. The Nasm package is already available as a package and it's
license is LGPL.

So should the title be changed to someting like "RFP: OpenWatcom -- a
compiler needed to build FreeDOS" ? Or may be we should close this
request and open a new one for the OpenWatcom? I don't see the right
procedure, but I hope this post clarifies some things.

Regards,

Henk van de Kamer

Bug#217826: interested in helping out

2004-05-14 Thread Jeremy Lainé
Hi Roland,

I am interested in helping maintain the eagle-adsl tools, especially as
the new upstream release has support for the 2.6 kernel series. I will give
packaging the new driver/utils a shot, but will probably need your help to
ensure a smooth upgrade from the old version. As upstream has renamed the
package "eagle-usb", what do you suggest I do as far as package names go?

Jeremy

PS: I speak French and yes, I use an eagle-based modem :)
