Bug#165154: Cube

2004-06-19 Thread Pascal Giard
Unfortunatly, it will most likely have to be:
cube (contrib)
cube-data (contrib)
cube-data-non-free (non-free)

The reason is that cube can't run without cube-data-non-free.

also, a problem arises, there isn't any libenet debian package.

Bug#255277: RFA: ttf-freefont -- Free Mono, Sans and Serif truetype fonts

2004-06-19 Thread Peter HAWKINS
Package: wnpp
Version: n/a; reported 2004/06/20

Hi...

I no longer really have the inclination to maintain ttf-freefont, since
I use the bitstream vera fonts instead. I would therefore invite anyone
interested to adopt this package.

Bug#202187: ITP: cgiirc -- CGI IRC Client that allows use of IRC from a Web Browser

2004-06-19 Thread Elrond

Hi,

Mario Holbe and I have created a debian package for cgiirc
nearly from scratch.
I've only used the long description from the initial post
on this ITP.

Our current package is at
.

We've also found a debian developer, who is willing to
sponsor the upload.

So unless someone says something within a week, we'll try
to upload the package and thus close this wnpp/itp.

Bug#165154: Data licenses

2004-06-19 Thread Pascal Giard
The readme in source/ specifies that we have to take a look at the individual
readme's for
licenses on the data.
That's what i did, and found out that it depends...

It's almost half-half...
Some data is in the public domain while the others are non-free (restrictions
on the commercial
use).

Perhaps the best would be something like creating 3 packages:
cube (games)
cube-data (games)
cube-data-extra (non-free/games)

What do you think ?

On a side note, i've already been working on a package, but it needs great
modifications...
I had modified an older release (2003_12_23)...

I know the author insists that it's a one-man project and that he won't accept
modifications/patches but i don't know how he'd react to packaging
modifications.
For example, i've modified the package to use autotools.

Bug#255235: RFP: bip -- a beep music player

2004-06-19 Thread Mathieu Roy
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: bip
  Version : 1.0
  Upstream Author : Mathieu Roy
* URL or Web page : http://gna.org/p/bip
* License : GPL
  Description : a beep music player

 It takes in input a plain text file following a basic standard and play it
 using the program beep.

It is already packaged for debian (well, without manpage) and would
help anybody interested in packaging it. I do not think maintaining
such package would take time.

If you want to reply to me, please remove the string invalid from my
address below. I cannot afford having my address too much easily
accessible to robots.
