Bug#256458: O: asmon

2004-06-27 Thread Paul van Tilburg
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I've RFA'ed asmon a while ago, but nobody stepped up. I haven't been using
it for a while now, but it could still be useful for WindowMaker/Afterstep
users, so I am orphaning it.

Bug#256479: O: dia2sql -- A Dia UML to SQL converter

2004-06-27 Thread Emanuele Rocca
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I am orphaning dia2sql.

Description: A Dia UML to SQL converter
dia2sql converts Dia UML files to SQL files suitable for processing by
MySQL or PostgreSQL. In other words it helps you use DIA as an ERD to
 design your database graphically.
 .
Installing libcompress-zlib-perl will help you reading gzipped files
produced by recent versions of Dia.

There are better alternatives in the archive (tedia2sql) and dia2sql is
dead upstream, so removing it could be a good idea.

ciao,
ema

Yes, if there will be a volunteer to take the maintainership.
Preliminary packages exist and also on CTAN exist one from Peter
Szabo, but I guess Claire won't do it.

And I guess, the use of the lmodern package don't help you? So last
resort: put the cm-super fonts into your local texmf-tree. Yes, it is
more time-consuming than apt-get install, but not that hard to do.

How is it useful to have this packaged in the archive when the Hurd
hasn't been ported to it yet? Or are you going to package L4Linux
too?

I no longer use usemod-wiki and thus have no time to maintain it.
Package is in good shape, no serious bugs. Very few work is needed to
maintain it as release cycle is quite long.

The only one todo item is to package version 1.0, which requires some
changes to the wiki database. Peter Gervai <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> has
already made a package for this and is going to NMU usemod-wiki. But
as he does not have time to adopt it, we need a new maintainer.

I can provide my CVS repository for usemod-wiki upon request.

Cheers,
Benjamin

Description : Easy-to-use OO interface to Perl's DBI

DBIx::Simple provides a simplified interface to DBI, Perl's powerful
database module.

This module is aimed at rapid development and easy maintenance. Query
preparation and execution are combined in a single method, the result
object (which is a wrapper around the statement handle) provides easy
row-by-row and slurping methods.

The module depends on DBI (libdbi-perl) and Data::Swap, which has no
Debian package yet.
