Bug#277084: ITP: poker-eval -- poker hand evaluator library
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name : poker-eval Version : 122.0 Upstream Author : Loic Dachary [EMAIL PROTECTED], Michael Maurer [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://download.gna.org/underware/debian/ (look for files with poke-eval in the name) * License : GPL Description : This package is a free (GPL) toolkit for writing programs which simulate or analyze poker games. Who is the target audience? Mostly programmers. The programs are all written in C, but as time goes on, bindings may be added for Java, VB, Perl, or other languages. There are Java Native Interface (JNI) wrappers around some of the library functions. There are some demo programs which illustrate the features of the library, but which are not (at this time) flexible enough to be used without modification by end-users except for the most basic of simulations. Where did it come from? Cliff Matthews wrote and released (under GPL) a fast poker hand evaluator several years ago, and this code is derived from that work. It has been improved over the years, with contributions from Mat Hostetter, Keith Miyake, Brian Goetz, Michael Maurer, and others. Most recently, the code has been repackaged and cleaned up substantially, so it is more suitable for general use and extension to other types of poker games. This code is now maintained by Brian Goetz ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and improvements and suggestions can be sent to him. The latest version of the software can be found at www.pokersource.org.

I'm willing to push it into Debian but if someone else is about to do the job, I would be more than happy ;-) If I don't hear from you by the end of the week, I will go ahead and upload the package for the latest openscenegraph release. Bug#277120: RFP: PyXPCom Python bindings for Mozilla-based application development
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist PyXPCom allows developpers to Python to write components for/with the Mozilla platform, with more ease than the native Mozilla languages provide (i.e. C++ and JavaScript). PyXPCom might (or might not) help turn Mozilla into a fully open .Net-like platform. Source: PyXPCom is part of the official Mozilla source tree and can be added with --enable-extensions=python/xpcom. It can also be compiled and distributed separately, although I do not know how. A patch proposed in [1] might be necessary to get PyXPCom to compile with recent versions of Mozilla and/or Python. There is already a backported debian package available at [2], linked against mozilla 1.5 and python 2.2 and not source-compatible with more recent versions of mozilla/python. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist URL: ftp://ftp.cpan.org/pub/CPAN/modules/by-module/Module/Module-List-0.000.tar.gz License: Perl standard (dual licensed, GPL and Artistic) This module deals with the examination of the namespace of Perl modules.
