There are no big problems with the packages as they are, but they need to be updated to the latest upstream versions. The package description is: Ion, based on PWM, is an unusual window manager with no overlapping windows. Windows are placed in tabbed frames which may be arbitrarily split to create additional frames, making keyboard navigation much easier. Flexible configuration is possible thanks to Lua, which is used as the configuration language. . There is also support for so-called "floating workspaces" where windows are managed the conventional way, so that you can still run applications which do not fit very well into Ion's window management approach. A pwm2 binary is included which starts Ion with floating workspaces as the default, thus replacing the now obsolete PWM window manager. -- Pelle --- Received: (at 276229-close) by bugs.debian.org; 29 Nov 2004 21:49:36 + >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Nov 29 13:49:36 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CYtOa-0006hR-00; Mon, 29 Nov 2004 13:49:20 -0800 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CYtMS-00061j-00; Mon, 29 Nov 2004 16:47:08 -0500 From: Norbert Tretkowski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.54 $ Subject: Bug#276229: fixed in ion2 20040729-1 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Mon, 29 Nov 2004 16:47:08 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: Source: ion2 Source-Version: 20040729-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of ion2, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: ion2-dev_20040729-1_alpha.deb to pool/main/i/ion2/ion2-dev_20040729-1_alpha.deb ion2-doc_20040729-1_all.deb to pool/main/i/ion2/ion2-doc_20040729-1_all.deb ion2_20040729-1.diff.gz to pool/main/i/ion2/ion2_20040729-1.diff.gz ion2_20040729-1.dsc to pool/main/i/ion2/ion2_20040729-1.dsc ion2_20040729-1_alpha.deb to pool/main/i/ion2/ion2_20040729-1_alpha.deb ion2_20040729.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/i/ion2/ion2_20040729.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: ossp-uuid Version : 1.1.1 Upstream Author : Ralf S. Engelschall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://www.ossp.org/pkg/lib/uuid/ * License : BSD Description : OSSP uuid ISO-C and Perl application programming interface OSSP uuid is a ISO-C and Perl application programming interface (API) and corresponding command line interface (CLI) for the generation of DCE 1.1 and ISO/IEC 11578:1996 compliant Universally Unique Identifiers (UUID). It supports DCE 1.1 variant UUIDs of version 1 (time and node based), version 3 (name based) and version 4 (random number based). The library was renamed from libuuid to libossp-uuid to prevent name clash with e2fsprogs's libuuid. The source package provides libossp-uuid11 and libossp-uuid-dev packages for C API and libossp-uuid-perl for Perl API. Also I'll provide the wrapper which will emulate Data::UUID perl module. Bug#195948: Separate targets
Hi I have been working with the target separation. It is a pain in the butty with cdbs, but thanks to T. Virtanen and some other helpers (and reading some cdbs' makefile source code) I have set different targets, which fail due to a bug in upstream code. The debian/rules looks something messy, so I will clear it up and send a patch as soon as i have it available.
