Bug#285163: RFA: music123 -- A command-line shell for sound-file players

2004-12-10 Thread D. Starner
Package: wnpp
Version: JD 2453350
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org

I've increasingly been spending more of my time on Project Gutenberg,
and I've not done anything with Debian for a long time. I've only
got an AMD64 machine, and its only connection to the internet is by
carrying CDs to the library, so I can't properly handle the package.

This is my own program, so I can probably scratch up maintaining it
for a while. If someone does adopt it, I'll find some place to
upload the code; updates won't be often, but I'll try and be
reasonably responsive. The code is in Ada; it shouldn't be that
big a deal, since it's a short, easy to read program, and I'll
happily provide whatever assistance is needed on that front.

Bug#285162: O: ttf-thryomanes -- A Unicode font covering Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and IPA

2004-12-10 Thread D. Starner
Package: wnpp
Version: JD 2453350
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org

I've increasingly been spending more of my time on Project Gutenberg,
and I've not done anything with Debian for a long time. I've only
got an AMD64 machine, and its only connection to the internet is by
carrying CDs to the library, so I can't properly orphan the package.

ttf-thryomanes is pretty much dead upstream; it does what the author
needs it to do. There's a minor packaging bug that needs to be fixed,
but that's about all. The upstream maintainer doesn't really know or
care about Linux, so most issues will have to be handled locally. It
is, however, a decent font with an almost complete coverage of Greek,
Latin and Cyrillic.

Bug#285161: O: bbtime -- Time tool for the blackbox window manager

2004-12-10 Thread D. Starner
Package: wnpp
Version: JD 2453350

got an AMD64 machine, and its only connection to the internet is by
carrying CDs to the library, so I can't properly orphan the package.

bbtime is a small C++ applet; if anyone does pick it up, it'd go
nice with the orphaned bbdate that I never got around to adopting,
because I wasn't spending much time on Debian then, either.

Bug#285159: Orphaning display-dhammapada

2004-12-10 Thread D. Starner

Display-dhammapada is a simple enough package; the only problem is
that the adopter should be willing to maintain a non-free package as
well, as part of the package will have to be split into non-free when
sarge releases, as per bug #285156.

Bug#285041: ITP: fprobe-ng -- Export captured traffic to remote NetFlow Collector

Hello

Brian May wrote:

What is the difference between this ITP and that in #272201?

Like i said in the wnpp report, it's the same thing, only
that the source and binary package will be named fprobe-ng,
which was suggested by my sponsor.

I made another ITP in case somebody wouldn't agree with the name change.

AThread + AutoCutSel

2004-12-10 Thread Javier Elias Vasquez Vivas

Hi !

I'm not sure if I'm writing to the write list. I was really looking for a
"wish" list under debian packages, but found nothing like that.

I'm wondering if there's some effort involved on including ZThreads library in
Debian, as well as AutoCutSel. Or if they would never make it to Debian for
some reason (licensing for example).

If this is the correct list, and you're willing to answer, please do so CCing
me directly since I'm not part of the list.

If this is not the correct list, which would be?

Thanks,

Bug#156276: How is this packageing effort going?

2004-12-10 Thread Alex Owen
Seeing as the past post to this bug was over a year ago I hope I'm not

I work for a UK University and we _might_ be able to colaborate on the
packageing of this...

Is there a debianised source package for download anywhere?

Many thanks

Bug#285052: ITP: paje.app -- generic visualization tool (Gantt chart and more)

2004-12-10 Thread Vincent Danjean
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: paje.app
  Version : 1.0.0cvs20041022
  Upstream Author : Benhur Stein
* URL (old)   : http://www-id.imag.fr/Logiciels/paje/pajedist.html
* URL (new)   : http://forge.objectweb.org/projects/paje/
* License (old)   : GPL
* License (new)   : LGPL
  Description : generic visualization tool (Gantt chart and more)

 Paje is a graphical tool that displays traces produced during the
 execution of multithreaded programs. Other programs can also generate
 traces for this tool.
 Key Features
   * Supports multi threaded programs
  o each thread of the analysed program can be individually
displayed, or multiple threads can be combined, to reduce screen
space usage.
   * Interactivity
  o each entity represented on the screen can be interrogated for
more information,
  o related entities are highlighted as mouse cursor passes over
some representation

Rem:
  Paje has just been accepted in the ObjectWeb consortium. The project
web page is created on their server, but not yet populated (hence the
old url where current software is present and the new where new releases
will be available)
  The adoption in the ObjectWeb consortium is also the reason why the
author is currently switching from the GPL to the LGPL (the consortium
prefers this licence and the author is ok).

2004-12-10 Thread Balazs NEMETH
Hello!

I am Balazs Nemeth(22), a Hungarian Debian Fan.
I am a student of BUTE(www.bme.hu).

I saw that a package(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=95747)
needs to be adopted because its ownner left it.
Shortly I will begin to write programs under Linux. That is why I want to
continue this project(and I have a Psion 5mx). I would like to practice
writing programs under my Debian and my Psion by this project.
What should I do now? Please, help me, if you can.

Thanks!
