libchewing - The intelligent phonetic input method library

[-] History

libchewing is derived from Chewing input method, a xcin module
focusing on intelligent phonetic processing by lckung and
kpchen. However, the original authors of Chewing dropped its
development, and Chewing is highly bonded with xcin, which
prevents from wider applications.

[-] Motion

Jim Huang started to separate core algorithm and logic layer
of Chewing since 2002, and he integrated his efforts into a
Chinese terminal named JMCCE as a part of its input method
modules. Also, he attempts to let more applications adapt
his efforts, so that he created libchewing with writing some
bridges among JMCCE, XCIN, SCIM and iiimf-chewing, etc.

libchewing - The intelligent phonetic input method library

If I'm reading the details below correctly (and I can't access the website
so I've nothing else to go on) this is only for Chinese input? Please
mention this in the short description, as someone (such as myself ^_^)
looking for an International Phonetic Alphabet input method might grab
this, despite already having a nicely-working Chinese input method. ^_^

And speaking of other input methods, is there any plan to bridge this
into uim as well?

Another competent person with more time immediately

Bug#285355: RFA: setserial -- Controls configuration of serial ports

Hello

I have decided to let someone else take over this package
'setserial'. I have not used a single program that uses
serial terminals för a long long time and can not really tell
if it works as it should.

So therefore I have decided that maybe someone else will make
a better job.

Please tell me when taking over this package so I know.

Bug#269925: just for the record

2004-12-12 Thread Lior Kaplan
I'm including this link just for the recored, if someone will do a query
about this license.

qouting http://techweb.rfa.org/pipermail/portaudio/2004-November/003942.html
 begin qoute

Hello Dave

The second bullet point is simply a polite request. From the point of view
of encouraging people to contribute to our project we like the current
wording -- in the sense that we want people to understand that we are making
it a condition that they are politely requested. But from a legal point of
view we intend for the use of the word request to be a request only, and
not a condition.

It's not clear what form a license clarification would take if this email
is not sufficient, so you may need to find this out from Debian (would they
need us to change the wording of the license?).

Best wishes

enligthenment, icewm, kwin, metacity, and sawfish).
   .
Wmctrl provides command line access to almost all the features

Decklin I think I might be interested in using this for testing
Decklin purposes. Would you prefer I maintain the package or
Decklin sponsor it?

Well, if you are up to sponsoring it I'll take you up on the
offer. Let me know what you want me to do next.

I'm re-titling the bug since you seem to indicate a desire to get this
uploaded one way or the other.

Cheers!
