Bug#282076: Adopting Debian pwgen package?

2005-01-10 Thread Chuan-kai Lin
Hi Theodore,

It has been a while (almost two months) since you expressed willingness
to take the Debian pwgen package, and so far there had been no updates.
Is everything going well with the adoption?

I plan to be packaging autoconf-doc, probably in non-free, so it won't
have to be moved there post-Sarge.

Apparantly[1] Henrique de Moraes Holschuh [EMAIL PROTECTED] already
packaged and uploaded autoconf-doc, without consulting wnpp.

I suggest you two contact eachother and come to an agreement close

It was uploaded on 2004-12-09, to non-free. I plead guilty for not checking

Anyway, I certainly don't mind if someone else wants to take care of the

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the obexftp package. Uusal reasons, no time, no
motivation, going to replace the relevant hardware soon.

The package description is:
Application to access the Flex.Memory on Siemens GSM Mobiles
via the OBEX Protocol over IrDA or Serial link, maybe bluetooth.
 .
The Object Exchange protocol can best be described as binary HTTP.
OBEX is optimised for ad-hoc wireless links and can be used to exchange
all kind of objects like files, pictures, calendar entries (vCal)
 and business cards (vCard).
 .
OBEX is builtin in devices like PDA's like the Palm Pilot, and mobile
phones like the Ericsson R320, Siemens S25, Siemens S45, Siemens ME45,
Nokia NM207 and Nokia 9110 Communicator.
 .
This application should work with other equipment like other mobiles,
palm pdas etc., too, that use this generic protocol.

Bug#289789: RFA: imlib -- Imlib is an imaging library for X and X11

2005-01-10 Thread Steve M. Robbins
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the imlib package. Ideally the
same person(s) would also adopt imlib+png2.

The adopter must have a strong constitution: This code is basically
abandoned upstream, nearly incomprehensible, and fairly buggy.

The package description is:
Imlib is a low-level Xlib interface for X programmers. It allows easier
access to many graphics formats and can write to them as well.

-- System Information:
Debian Release: 3.1
  APT prefers unstable
  APT policy: (500, 'unstable')
Architecture: i386 (i686)
Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-2-k7
Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968)

I request an adopter for the imlib+png2 package. Ideally it would be
the same person(s) adopting imlib.
