As I already started packaging it before you filed your ITP (bad me for
not filing an ITP) I had just a quick look over your package :). I'll
let you package it, though :):

$ sudo dpkg --contents ooo2dbk_1.2.2-1_all.deb
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:09 ./
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:07 ./usr/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:08 ./usr/bin/
-rwxr-xr-x root/root40 2005-01-11 22:17:08 ./usr/bin/ooo2dbk

Ah. Wrapper script. Good.

drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:08 ./usr/share/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:08 ./usr/share/ooo2dbk/
-rwxr-xr-x root/root 23586 2004-12-29 11:05:51
./usr/share/ooo2dbk/ooo2dbk
-rw-r--r-- root/root124730 2004-12-29 11:05:51
./usr/share/ooo2dbk/ooo2dbk.xsl
-rw-r--r-- root/root 12828 2004-12-31 18:07:24
./usr/share/ooo2dbk/template.stw

OK

[...]
-rw-r--r-- root/root 11770 2004-12-31 18:07:24
./usr/share/doc/ooo2dbk/doc/template.stw.gz

again? We already have it in ./usr/share/ooo2dbk/template.stw.
It AFAIS belongs here, though since it is a template and nothing
ooo2dbk uses.

drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:08 ./usr/share/man/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:09 ./usr/share/man/man1/
-rw-r--r-- root/root   764 2005-01-10 20:49:32
./usr/share/man/man1/ooo2dbk.1.gz
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:08 ./etc/
-rw-r--r-- root/root  2939 2004-12-29 11:05:51 ./etc/ooo2dbk.xml

Ugh. Looks bad. Couldn't this be put into a subdir and named config.xml?
Like /etc/ooo2dbk/config.xml?

lrwxrwxrwx root/root 0 2005-01-11 22:17:08
./usr/share/ooo2dbk/config.xml -> /etc/ooo2dbk.xml

This symlink then needs to be adjusted :)

Bug#289973: ITP: didiwiki -- simple WikiWikiWeb implementation with built-in webserver

2005-01-12 Thread Hanna M. Wallach
> What advantages does this have over the other 12 wiki clones we have in
> the archive? I don't consider having a built-in webserver as an

DidiWiki has the following advantages over the other wikis in the
Debian archive:

* Written in C so *very* fast.

* Very low system requirements, tiny on disk size (~20k
stripped). This makes it particularly useful for handhelds etc.

* No dependencies, entirely self contained. No need for apache,
scripting languages, databases be installed.

* DidiWiki is recommended as a personal wiki (for notes, todo lists
etc.) *not* for running publically (or as root).

In summary, DidiWiki is aimed at those who need a quick, very
lightweight wiki for personal notes etc. without wanting to install
Apache, PHP, MySQL and suchlike. I don't believe there is another wiki
in the Debian archive that satisfies these requirements.

Hi,

I see this was uploaded to Debian mentors. Have they found it ok? Are
there any plans to finally make this an official deb?
If there's an open TODO list, what needs to be done and who of you is

Thanks for the feedback.

Description: Process CGI input parameters
 Dealing with large web based applications with multiple forms is a
 minefield. It's often hard enough to ensure you validate all your
 input at all, without having to worry about doing it in a consistent
 manner. If any of the validation rules change, you often have to alter
 them in many different places. And, if you want to operate taint-safe,
 then you're just adding even more headaches.
 .
 This module provides a simple, convenient, abstracted and extensible
 manner for validating and untainting the input from web forms.
 .
 You simply create a handler with a hash of your parameters (usually
 $q->Vars), and then iterate over the fields you wish to extract,
 performing whatever validations you choose. The resulting variable is
 guaranteed not only to be valid, but also untainted.

Bug#261560: status of iaxcomm?

2005-01-12 Thread Kilian Krause
Hi,

I see this was uploaded to Debian mentors. Have they found it ok? Are
there any plans to finally make this an official deb?
If there's an open TODO list, what needs to be done and who of you is
going to make this happen?

Thanks for the feedback.

Bug#290136: RFP: libtime-unix-perl -- cross-platform time() for Perl

2005-01-12 Thread Zefram
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

URL:
License: Perl standard (dual licensed, GPL and Artistic)

Time::Unix provides a time() function that uses the Unix epoch regardless
of OS platform. This is both an aid to cross-platform coding and a
proof-of-concept for behaviour that should become standard in Perl 6.

Bug#248179: This RFP is already part of Debian ?

2005-01-12 Thread Frederik Dannemare
Hi,

stumbled across your RFP and noticed that it is already in Debian named
courier-filter-perl

This is the same thing, right?

If yes, I guess you can close the RFP (which should actually have been
closed by the maintainer of courier-filter-perl, IMO).

Bug#289132: ITP: ooo2dbk -- OpenOffice.org SXW to DocBook XML translator

2005-01-12 Thread Mohammed Adnène Trojette
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: ooo2dbk
  Version : 1.2.2-1
  Upstream Author : Indesko ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
* URL : http://www.indesko.com/telechargements/
* License : LGPL
  Description : OpenOffice.org SXW to DocBook XML converter (sxw to xml)

OOo2DBK is an XSLT style sheet. It allows to convert documents from
OpenOffice-Writer SXW format to a simplified DocBook XML format.

The style sheet comes with a set of Python scripts that permit to treat
directly SXW documents and to extract pictures included in the document.

It can also be used autonomously in order to convert OpenOffice-Writer
XML documents produced with a FlatXML filter.

OOo2DBK must be used with an XSLT processor like Saxon or Xsltproc, for
example.

The original version of ooo2dbk is ooo2sdbk, written by Eric Bellot.
This version can still be found at http://www.chez.com/ebellot/ooo2sdbk/

OOo2DBK can at the moment only process files generated by the
OpenOffice.org 1.1.x series. Future versions of OOo2DBK will process
files generated by the OpenOffice.org 2.x series.
