I am not the maintainer. I previously intended to adopt it because of the
maintainer's inactivity. Last update was in 2004 [1] yet Lintian shows a
number of warnings [2] that should be fixed. I have never heard from the
maintainer or taken the time to actualy adopt the package. You are quite
welcome to adopt and maintain it, as far as I'm concerned.

Bug#226450: status of yammi Debian package

2005-03-12 Thread Tommaso Moroni
Hi!

I'm tidying up the wnpp bugs on the Debian BTS by looking for "inactive" ITPs.
I saw that more than one year ago you filed an ITP for yammi, so I'd like to
know
if you still intend to package it.

Thank you for your attention

Description : LLVM (Low Level Virtual Machine) compiler for C/C++

LLVM (Low Level Virtual Machine) is a compiler framework and code
representation designed to support transparent, lifelong program
analysis and transformation by providing high-level information
to compiler transformations at compile-time, link-time, run-time,
and in idle time between runs. LLVM defines a common, low-level
code representation in Static Single Assignment (SSA) form, with
several novel features: a simple, language-independent type-system
that exposes the primitives commonly used to implement high-level
language features; an instruction for typed address arithmetic;
and a simple mechanism that can be used to implement the exception
handling features of high-level languages (and setjmp/longjmp in C)
uniformly and efficiently.

The debian/changelog for 1.4-1 had the "Closes" clause in it, but that
upload was rejected, and I found a bug just a few minutes after the
upload (of course :). Hence, I needed to fix the bug, and to upload
1.4-2 which did not have the "Closes" at the head of debian/changelog.

If there are more packages using it, it can be interesting to have it
packaged in a different binary. If this happens I would like to have it
removed from smokeping sources. But the main thing is to really think if
it is really useful being an independient source package.

If you consider that the module is useful, please package it yourself.
Even I would like to offer you comaintainership of smokeping. We can put
a svn server out there to be able to check different stuff. After all,
your Perl skills are much greater than mine, and I am slowly having less
and less time.

Several releases happened, but the situation of the source code with
respect to patent issues did not evolve AFAIK:

http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2695917

So I'm no longer interested in packaging Pixie since it would not be
suitable for debian anyway (or even for release by upstream for that
matter).

Radim, you can close this bug, or leave it open in the hope that the
situation changes.

Laurent.

The HA-prosper package for LaTeX provides a way to make nice

copy and paste formulas from your papers directly into the
presentation. The package has been based on the prosper class
but offers a lot of new possibilities and some bug fixes.

I intend to package the Mozilla Firefox Hebrew locale extension to join
the other Hebrew related packages. I will package version 0.9.1/0.9.2 of
the extension since 0.9.3 is in the current testing and unstable
distribution, Firefox 1.0 PR1 is only in experimental.

Suggestions for other things related to this that should be packaged is
solicited, I think thunderbird is a good candidate. What about the
themes, are they needed to get everything to work?

I have a preliminary package already, it seems to work, if you want to
test it drop me a note.

Baruch

Is it compatible with prosper? If it is, maybe it would be better to
simply replace the prosper package with this version.

| This is the last release of the package HA-prosper. All future
| developments in the line of this package will be collected in a new
| class called TeXciting. The reason that this package will be
| converted into a class is that some ideas for improvements (like A4
| paper support) can only be realized when stepping away from prosper.
| The conversion will take some time and any bugs in HA-prosper will
| be dealt with in the meantime. Changes necessary for presentations
| to step from HA-prosper to TeXciting will be kept to a minimum.

I think replacing the prosper-package with ha-prosper wouldn't be
a good choice. I'd like to provide ha-prosper in a separate package
so when TeXciting is available there aren't any breakages with
prosper.

regards,
-mika-

I intend to orphan the mairix package.

The package description is:
mairix is a program for indexing and searching locally stored email messages.
mairix supports Maildir, MH folders, and mbox formats.
 .
  * Indexing is fast. It runs incrementally on new messages - any
particular message only gets scanned once in the lifetime of the
  index file.
 .
  * The search mode populates a "virtual" maildir folder with symlinks
which point to the real messages. This folder can be opened as usual
  in your mail program.
 .
  * The search mode is very fast.
 .
  * Indexing and searching works on the basis of words. The index file
tabulates which words occur in which parts (particular headers +
  body) of which messages.

Bug#299275: RFP: siag-spreadsheet -- Small spreadsheet program from SIAG office utilities

2005-03-12 Thread Jari Aalto
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: siag-spreadsheet
  Version : x.y.z
  Upstream Author : Ulric Eriksson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL : http://siag.nu
* License : GPL
Description : Small spreadsheet program from SIAG office package

(Include the long description here.)

An X-based spreadsheet written in C and Scheme.

Siag is an X-based spreadsheet for Unix. It uses Scheme (a Lisp
dialect) both for expressions and as an extension language, which
makes it easy to create new functions (for native Lispers, that
is). There is no requirement to know Scheme to use Siag, expressions
can be entered in traditional spreadsheet syntax as well.

Siag stands for Siag Is Not An Excel Emulator. The various modules
are gradually attaining increasing interoperability with such data
formats as:

* HTML
* RTF (Rich Text Format)
* WKS (Lotus 123's data format)

Never, but I found the problem: the apache2 didn't restart because of a
