Hello,

This is an automatic mail sent to close the ITP you have reported or
are involved with.

Your ITP wnpp bug is being closed because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 450 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.

As this an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be closing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be closed, for
example if the ITP is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please reopen the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily reopen
their bugs ;-).

To re-open it, you simply have to mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with a body text like this:

reopen 248322
thanks bts

Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if

* URL : ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/ctsi/dares.tgz

Description : rescue files from damaged CDs and DVDs

Dares scans a CD/DVD image or a CD/DVD for files. This also works when
the filesystem (ISO-9660 or UDF) on the disc is damaged and cannot be
mounted
 anymore.
 .
 Dares can use H2cdimage (ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/ctsi/h2cdimage.zip)
files to
rescue data from heavily damaged optical discs.

I'm looking for a sponsor for this package. It is ready for inspection and
available from http://mentors.debian.net.

- It is, as of today, older than 365 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.

As this is an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be closing some bugs that are not

Description : A HBCI banking application
lxbank is a banking application written for linux-HBCI
users in mind. You can query your bank accounts, setup
and view transactions secured via a hbci-chipcard. This
card has to be provided to you by your bank. You also
 need an appropriate chipcard-reader.

The package depends on another ITP (#205117). I've been in contact
with the upstream author, he accepts it to be debianized.

Hello,

This is an automatic mail sent to close the RFP you have reported or
are involved with.

Your RFP wnpp bug is being closed because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 600 days.
- It haven't had any activity recently.
- The amount of ITPs on the Debian BTS is huge and we need to
clean up a bit the place.

As this an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be closing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be closed, for
example if the RFP is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please reopen the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily reopen
their bugs ;-).

To re-open it, you simply have to mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with a body text like this:

reopen 123456
thanks bts

Replacing '123456' for the number of your RFP bug. The subject of the
mail is ignored. Or if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

This is the first mass wnpp closing that will be done. The next close
will be done on inactive RFPs older than 450 days and finally, the
ones older than 365 days (an automatic script will close *inac

2005-11-04 Thread Ivan A. Beveridge
Current version is now slimserver 6.2.0

I would also be interested in this. It has to be one of the better/best
commercial audio players out there, it has GPL'd server software, and
there is a community behind it providing plugins for it.

It's a shame they don't provide a .deb (only perl source, RPM, MSWindows
and Mac OSX).

Someone has provided init scripts (for debian) in this email:
http://lists.slimdevices.com/archives/discuss/2004-May/029101.html

Cheers

Hi Cai Qian,

Yes, you can write that, I just verified with Robin Hogan explicitly if
these wordings are ok with him.

Enjoy!

I request an adopter for the libterm-progressbar-perl package.

The package description is:
This is the CPAN Perl module Term::ProgressBar.
 .
This module displays progress bar for things that take a while.
 It looks like:
 .
  50% [=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D ]
 .
and is as long as the terminal. Linear estimation of the time left
for the process to run is available.

I've asked upstream to remove all the PROPRIETARY and CONFIDENTIAL

also doesn't build with gcc-4.0 at the moment.

  Description : vector-based 2D animation studio

synfig is a vector based 2D animation package. It is designed to be
capable of producing feature-film quality animation. It eliminates the
need for tweening, preventing the need to hand-draw each frame.

Some key features:

* Spatial and temporal resolution independence - sharp and smooth ant
any resolution or framerate.
* Supports high dynamic range images (unfortunately this makes it slow.
a 2000% speed-up is planned).
* Comes with geometric, gradient, filter, distortion/transformation,
fractal and other layers.

I am currently creating a package for this, mainly because I did some

Even though the game content is not available for free (beer, speech),
you can use the game content of a total conversion (e.g. UT) to compose
a working game.

Bug#337498: ITP: unidesc -- Unicode Description Utilities consists of four programs for finding out what is in a Unicode file.

* Package name: unidesc
  Version : 2.15.1
  Upstream Author : Bill Poser
* URL : http://billposer.org/Software/unidesc.html
* License : GPL
Description : Programs for finding out what is in a Unicode file.
Four programs for finding out what is in a Unicode file.
They are useful when working with Unicode files when one
doesn't know the writing system, doesn't have the necessary
font, needs to inspect invisible characters, needs to find
out whether characters have been combined or in what order
they occur, or needs statistics on which characters occur.
.
* uniname defaults to printing the character offset of each
character, its byte offset, its hex code value, its encoding,
the glyph itself, and its name. It may also be used to validate
UTF-8 input.
* unidesc reports the character ranges to which different portions
of the text belong. It can also be used to identify Unicode encodings
(e.g. UTF-16be) flagged by magic numbers.
* unihist generates a histogram of the characters in its input.
* ExplicateUTF8 is intended for debugging or for learning about Unicode.
It determines and explains the validity of a sequence of bytes as a UTF8
encoding.

Bug#337401: ITP: ggz -- libraries, games, and programs for network and online games

2005-11-04 Thread Peter Eisentraut
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Peter Eisentraut <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

* Package name: ggz
  Version : 0.0.12
  Upstream Author : Josef Spillner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL : http://www.ggzgamingzone.org/
* License : GPL
Description : libraries, games, and programs for network and online games

GGZ (which is a recursive acronym for GGZ Gaming Zone) develops libraries,
games and game-related applications for client-server online gaming.
Player rankings, game spectators, AI players and a chat bot are part of
this effort.

The previous ggz packages were removed from Debian because of RC bugs and
a missing maintainer. A new packaging team with upstream involvement is
going to attempt to revive this effort.

Package contains non-free icons from sun and upstream is not willing to
replace them with free ones. I've offered my help and even gave them a list
of icons to exchange but they where not interested.

So I'm closing my ITP.

Bug#337379: ITP: smtpguard -- smtp flow control program

2005-11-04 Thread Takuo KITAME
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Takuo KITAME <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

o Package name: smtpguard
  Version : 1.1.0
Upstream Author : VA Linux Systems Japan, K.K.
* URL : http://sourceforge.net/projects/flexguard/
* License : GPL
Description : smtp flow control program

smtpguard is a point based monitoring system built to
protect your incoming mail servers from spammers.
Developed with ISP's in mind, smtpguard links directly into
the smtp server and stores data in a local db (Berkeley db 4.2).
For each RCPT TO: in a given session, the rule file is parsed
and points tallied. Based on points (or specific attributes of
the session) multiple actions can be taken. These include:
rejecting mail, logging, sending an alert message, and so on.

This software provides postfix's policy service daemon to use
   smtpguard with postfix.
