Since hs-plugins is not very portable -- either to different Debian platforms or to different Haskell environments -- that's concerning for me. My idea was actually to ship two binary packages: riot and riot-static, the former needing hs-plugins. Distributing riot as a binary debian package without hs-plugins removes its configuration ability which sounds pretty limitating too me. I am using the riot package as a test to see if hs-curses is working well enough to be released. Maybe I should just release a static only version of riot and hs-curses altogether? Parsing English with a Link Grammar (1991), the authors defined a new formal grammatical system called a link grammar. A sequence of words is in the language of a link grammar if there is a way to draw links between words in such a way that the local requirements of each word are satisfied, the links do not cross, and the words form a connected graph. The authors encoded English grammar into such a system, and wrote this program to parse English using this grammar. . This package can be used for linguistic parsing for information retrieval or extraction from natural language documents. Abiword also uses it as a grammar checker. *** end description *** I am not a DD, and I will need a sponsor to upload this package. Bug#310876: mdf2iso already packaged in Ubuntu Universe
A few months back, I filed the ITP Bug#310876 http://bugs.debian.org/310876. Just as I'm finally uploading this to mentors.debian.net and about to look for a sponsor, I discovered that Lukas Fittl had packaged this in Ubuntu Universe. Bug#291694: Who's going to package bloat?
I was about to upload this to mentors.debian.net, but I remembered that Mohammed took my bug a few months back. May I take it back? Also, it seems David was the one who actually gave it to Mohammed. For what it's worth, I've been in contact with Sam Hocevar who has been working with upstream on maintaining their packages. Either way is fine, though I'd rather end up with the package; let know soon so I can decide what to do with this .diff.gz :-). -- Asheesh. -- With listening comes wisdom, with speaking repentance. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Orphan packages
Perhaps this is adelicate question -- but shouldn't ltrace be put up for adoption? There are two developers with patches for 2 or 3 architectures, and nothing has happened in over a year. (Disclosure: I work at IBM.)

Bug#298340: RFP: drawterm
I am interested in creating a Debian package for this. I can't find a license for it in its source code though, and it needs mk to build. I think you can only get mk from plan 9 ports (http://swtech.com/plan9port), which is not in Debian (yet). There is also a version of drawterm available here: http://swtch.com/drawterm/. It is released under the LPL, and it builds on my system using make instead of mk. This perl module provides an Active Server Pages port to the Apache Web Server with perl as the host scripting language. Active Server Pages is a web application platform that originated with the Microsoft NT/IIS server. Under Apache for Unix and Win32 platforms it allows a developer to create dynamic web applications with session management and embedded perl code. . This module works under the Apache Web Server with the mod_perl module enabled. See http://www.apache.org and http://perl.apache.org for further information. It can also work under a standard CGI call interface using the asp-perl command. See README.Debian in this package for more details . This is a portable solution, similar to ActiveState's PerlScript for NT/IIS ASP. Work has been done and will continue to make ports to and from this implementation as smooth as possible. Bug#345091: ITP: checkgmail -- Alternative Gmail Notifier for Linux via Atom feeds

Bug#344594: RFS: gmysqlcc -- GTK+ client for mysql databases
Sorry for the late! Laszlo Boszormenyi wrote: It looks good, but I have some points: - please close your ITP from debian/changelog; Yes, at the moment I upload the package I did not have the ITP. - debian/README contains your changes to upstream source, but not debian/changelog; This is the initial debian release, do you think this is apropiate? I supouse you do, so I'll list it. - debian/rules is OK, but why don't you use debhelper and its dh_* commands? Because I am understanding the process as much I can, gcolor2 and alltray are using dh_*, this one is by-hand. This is for the first round. There may be others, but today I wish you all Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! On the first time in my office I'll update the package.
