Bug#333438: State of the ITP

Hi Joachim,

Exactly. :)

What do you mean by package-by-package? Version by Version?

I did mean version-by-version… thank you. ^_^;

[...] I'll be happy to be your sponsor, meaning I'll sign
and upload the packages. Is that what you meant?

Yes please. I should get around to signing the stuff in my own
repository too. Please check back in a couple of days... (I've even
made a separate key for it: 0x1D893458. I may not get around to it
tomorrow: in a bit of a panic preparing some slides to talk about at
AngloHaskell.)

Cheers!

Wow, that sounds like an annoying bug just waiting to get reported! (Having to
edit scripts in /etc/init.d is an exceptionally bad way to configure a
daemon.)

Bug#381162: cipe is getting stale

2006-08-02 Thread Raul Miller

Package: wnpp

There's a bug more than a year old about a new upstream
version available for cipe, with no discussion from the maintainer
as to why this new version has not been incorporated. The
package should probably be orphaned, so that someone who
is more interested can maintain the package:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=264114

Also note that the last change to this package was in 2004,
and that there is a 4 year old important bug which has been
filed against the package, which has not been addressed
by the current maintainer, except to list it in a set of
confirmed reports.

Bug#357503: RFS: bottlerocket

2006-08-02 Thread Kevin Coyner

I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 0.05b3-7 of my
package "bottlerocket". It was recently orphaned and since I use
the package in my home to control lights, I filed an ITA in order to
keep it in Debian.

  Package name: bottlerocket
  Version : 0.05b3-7
Upstream Author : Tymm Twillman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and
  : Ashley Clark <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
  URL : http://www.linuxha.com/bottlerocket/
  License : GPL/LGPL
  Section : electronics

It builds these binary packages:
bottlerocket - Utility to control X10 Firecracker devices
rocket_launcher - GUI to control bottlerocket

The package is lintian/linda clean and builds fine in pbuilder.

The upload would fix these bugs: 205769, 206736, 265850, 357503

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/bottlerocket
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/bottlerocket/bottlerocket_0.05b3-7.dsc

Thank you in advance for reviewing and hopefully uploading this
package.

pdfcrack is a simple tool for recovering passwords from pdf-documents.
It should be able to handle all pdfs that uses the standard security handler
but the pdf-parsing routines are a bit of a quick hack so you might stumble
across some pdfs where the parser needs to be fixed to handle.

pdfcrack allows configure the size of the searched password, use an
external wordlist file and save cracking sessions to restore it later.

This software uses xpdf/poppler stuff (categorized as free).

I haven't heard back from you, so I'm assuming you're no longer

I request an adopter for pythoncard.

I don't really use pythoncard or follow the upstream mailing list any
more. Besides that, the package is now out-of-date with upstream, and I
don't have the time or inclination to package the updates.

I will upload with an updated "Debian QA Group" maintainer later today.

Bug#360519: RFP: tapioca -- framework for VoIP and Instant Messaging (SIP and google interoperable)

2006-08-02 Thread George Danchev
Hi,

Just to let you know that sofia-sip library is already in the official
Debian
archive[1]. You may proceed with packaging tapioca and tapioca-sip which
depends on sofia-sip library. I don't use tapioca, but it seems nice, so tell
me if you need assistance. Btw, do you know how far FarSight.sf.net is
currently and is it mature and useful enough to be packaged also ?

I intend to orphan the pronto package. Actually I believe it could well
be removed from archive but I'll let somebody jump on it before.

It is the only package depending on liblingua-ispell-perl which is also
orphaned, so you could take both.

The package description is:

support, filters, MIME support, smart addressbook, and more.

Great, but how can one checkout the repository? ;P

svn co https://svn.flexserv.de/kicad

First time will take a little while as one of the files (the upstream binary
distribution) is quite large, but this shouldn't change too often.

On a side note, it also seems there are no
archives for kicad-devel: 404 Not Found at

I don't know if there should be, I get a 404 on
http://lists.mose.flexserv.de/pipermail/ too. That's one for Daniel, he
setup the server.

Richard.

also, we can probably stop copying the bug on this (i've left it on this one
so this note appears on there, so it doesn't just look like conversation
stopped)
