I emailed Thom May about the Ubuntu package a few months back, as he's a Debian developer as well and I wanted to find out if he would maintain the package for Debian. He seemed to have lost interest and was happy for someone else to take it up for Debian. Note that upstream appears to be non-existent and there's a lot of functionality missing I think. Bug#323913: Man page for tstat
Dear Sandro, First, let me thank you for the job you are doing. Considering the tstat manpage, we didn't update it since we are updating the HOWTO file. Since the Howto is wrinteen in POD, a manpage is available for free. See http://tstat.tlc.polito.it/HOWTO/HOWTO.man I guess that you can include that one as manpage... BTW, we plan to release a new version of Tstat by the end of September. Can we send it to you, so that you can update the debian package? Do not hesitate to concact us if you need any further help. Marco Hi all, I'm packaging tstat (version 1.01) for Debian, and during this activities I've noticed that in this package tstat.man is missing but is still referenced in: Makefile.in:286:$(INSTALL) -m 444 -o bin -g bin tstat.man $(MANDIR)/man1/tstat.1 In 0.92 version package that file is present, but neither in 1.00 and 1.01 the file is there. Why did you remove it, and why is still referenced? missing deletion in Makefile.in or wrong deletion of tstat.man? Since I have to provide a manpage for a debian package, I can upgrade the existing one or you can provide one, if you got it. Let me know who I can go on. Bug#350391: glest package - an analysis
Hello Giuseppe, I have seen your comments on REVU, how would you feel about comaintaining glest insde the Debian Games Team, thus we could have both the Ubuntu and the Debian version in sync and we could reduce the packaing effort? Now, about the package... I have made a modified Jamfile which adds a clean target (see bug #350391 in debian BTS: http://bugs.debian.org/350391), but there are some problems related to dpatch and the way the editor target is removed. Why did you disable it? I think it would be a good thing to have the editor, too, so I don't see a reason to remove it. Still I think the clean target is not complete, but I didn't had time to fully follow this and inverstigate. On 11/08/06, Eddy Petrişor [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On 11/08/06, Eddy Petrişor [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On 11/08/06, Eddy Petrişor [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=2849 - !!! the build process does *not* stop at any of these errors !!! Oh, crap, just saw it: -cd mk/linux jam Please note that it won't stop compiling the targets if one fails due to jam's nature. IIRC jam -q could do that trick, but not sure though. the package has just compiled, I'll look into the ignoring thingies That leaves us also with the clean target not really doing the right job (did this after a build and running by hand debian/rules clean): I worked a little on fixing the clean target, but is not yet there, because there is another patch which affects the Jamfile, which disables the editor. This is how the file should look like after the clean target is added. I have also a modified debian/rules but because of the editor target patch issue I haven't published it yet. -- Regards, EddyP = Imagination is more important than knowledge A.Einstein

It does support most subversion features. There are only a few features left that are currently not implemented. subcommander is usable for day to day work! subcommander features * tight integration of repository browser and working copy status view, you can quickly switch between a working copy view or the repository view. It just a matter of selecting another item in a list view control. * colored working copy status view to quickly see which files/folder have changed. * easy branch and tag handling. By telling subcommander the projects urls for trunk, branches and tags and a working copy path it takes only a few mouse clicks to create a branch/tag or switch your working copy to a branch/tag. * has drag drop support to move or copy files and folders. * easy handling of multiple working copies (e.g. different branches) from the same project. * easy merging of single revisions or revision ranges. Viewing the * history on a repository url you can easily merge changes to your working copy. Just select a revision and tell subcommander to merge it into your (configured) working copy. That is especially usefull to merge bug fixes from trunk to your current release branch. * visual diff and merge for text files (submerge). * cross platform (Win32, Unix, MacOSX) * responsive gui, actions on the repository (like getting history information) will not freeze the gui. * supports most subversion features (see below for what is still missing): -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-ac6 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: subcommander Source-Version: 1.1.1-4 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of subcommander, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: subcommander-doc_1.1.1-4_all.deb to pool/main/s/subcommander/subcommander-doc_1.1.1-4_all.deb subcommander_1.1.1-4.diff.gz to pool/main/s/subcommander/subcommander_1.1.1-4.diff.gz subcommander_1.1.1-4.dsc to pool/main/s/subcommander/subcommander_1.1.1-4.dsc subcommander_1.1.1-4_i386.deb to pool/main/s/subcommander/subcommander_1.1.1-4_i386.deb subcommander_1.1.1.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/s/subcommander/subcommander_1.1.1.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Bug#363967: [RFC]: new proposal for starting ipw3945d
Hi Steinar, I notice some of my ipw3945 efforts have been mentioned in ITP's. I'd love to see my efforts go directly into debian. I do not have the hardware, only a fair idea of how all the ipw3945 pieces should go together, so I'd love to hand off my work to an interested party with the hardware to test or have my work sponsored/co-maintained or whatever. I'd like to know if you'd be willing to comment on a new mechanism of starting ipw3945d, or verify if it even works. I've noticed on blogs and other google yields (but not ever been told directly via email) that users of my ipw3945 packages (and also users of other distro's) are experiencing difficulty with the initial module load + ipw3945d start. So I've adapted the comments from Md[1] and incorporated them into a new source package[2]. If you could check out the ugly hacks involved and see if they work more reliably than the previous approach, I'd appreciate that. Thanks, Kel. Bug#382896: RFP: sync2cd -- incremental archiving tool to CD/DVD
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: sync2cd Version : 1.1 Upstream Author : Remy Blank [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.calins.ch/software/sync2cd.html * License : GPL Programming Lang: Python 2.4 Description : incremental archiving tool to CD/DVD sync2cd is an incremental archiving tool. It allows backing up complete filesystem hierarchies to multiple backup media (e.g. CD-R). Files are archived incrementally, i.e. only new or changed files are stored during an archive operation. All entity types are supported: directories, files, symlinks, named pipes, sockets, block and character devices. Ownership and permissions can be saved and restored. sync2cd does not use any archive formats (like dar or tar) or compression: it just writes the files to CD. This gives maximum transparency on the archive media: you don't need sync2cd to restore your data (although it helps), and the media contents can be easily cataloged. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (300, 'unstable'), (200, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
