Bug#385743: RFS: swish++: A Simple Web Indexing System for Humans --- C++ version

2006-10-17 Thread Kapil Hari Paranjape
Hello,

As requested earlier on 9nd October:

Could someone please sponsor a New Maintainer upload of swish++?

http://www.imsc.res.in/~kapil/debian/swish++/swish++_6.1.4-1.dsc

or

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/swish++/swish++_6.1.4-1.dsc

Features specific to this upload ---
   * New Maintainer. Closes: #385743.
   * New upstream release (6.1.4). Closes: #321674.
  - Builds with g++ 4.1. Closes: #302561, #356160
   * debian/patches: incorporated patches under "quilt".
   * debian/rules:
 - updated for new location of scripts in source.
 - changed "configure-stamp" to use /usr/share/quilt/quilt.make.
   following suggestion of James Westby.
 - replaced use of "debian/fixmanpages" by use of
   quilt.
 - changed "configure-stamp" to fix manpage location.
   Closes: #282508.
 - DH_COMPAT=4
 - Use "distclean" target of toplevel Makefile.
 - Removed call to "dh_undocumented".
   * debian/copyright: included all copyright statements.
   * debian/control:
 - added homepage to description.
 - updated "debhelper" dependency.
 - added "quilt" dependency.
 - update package description. Closes: #291070.
 - Standards-Version 3.7.2. No changes required.
   * debian/changelog: Acknowledge NMU's. Thanks to Frank Lichtenheld,
 Martin Michlmayr.
   * debian/:
 - Removed the unused files "all_in_one.patch" and
   "swish++.conf.patch".
 - added "watch" file.
   * debian/oo_indexing: Included OpenOffice indexing example from
 Bastian Kleineidam. Closes #242238.
   * debian/patches/use_gcc_for_ld: Patched config/config.mk and
 top-level GNUmakefile to use "gcc" instead of "g++" for linking.
 This prevents unneeded dependencies. Thanks to Christian
 Aichinger's scripts for pointing this out.

Thanks and regards,

snapshots (rare) from the mod_ionflux-3 repository at
http://modeemi.cs.tut.fi/~tuomov/repos/ and rebuild the package for each
new release of the ion3 window manager until it becomes stable.

Nearly every script has its own upstream author with varying activeness
and varying skills in Lua programming. The adopter should be able to
write Lua or be willing to learn it. Knowing Lua is really important to
fix upstream bugs in this package.

  * monitors for Ion's statusbar to monitor disk usage, network

 middleware implemented is that for sessions but more is coming soon.

I got a reply from TS system. They think there's no problem to authorize
debian to redistribute TS. However, I had to provide more information and

Bug#393700: RFA: sitecopy -- A program for managing a WWW site via FTP, DAV or HTTP

2006-10-17 Thread Reed Snellenberger
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-

I find that I no longer have the time to maintain the sitecopy package, and
am looking for someone to adopt it. The current Debian package is up-to-date
with the current upstream version. Upstream support is very responsive at
http://www.lyra.org/sitecopy.

I'd like to thank Matt Palmer ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) for sponsoring all of my
uploads of sitecopy. He has also offered to continue sponsoring uploads for
a new maintainer if necessary (which gives me another chance to thank him).

The package description is:
 sitecopy is for copying locally stored websites to remote ftp servers.
 With a single command, the program will synchronize a set of local files
 to a remote server by performing uploads and remote deletes as required.
 The aim is to remove the hassle of uploading and deleting individual files
 using an FTP client. sitecopy will also optionally try to spot files you
 move locally, and move them remotely.

Since the group decided to stay with GNU Arch and I really have neither
the time nor the inclination to learn another version control system,
coupled with the fact that I simply don't use this package a great deal
anymore, I would like to request that someone please adopt it. The only
bug against it relates to l10n and regards the name of one of the
translation files.
