Bug#413554: Missing license info in source files - fixed in upstream svn
* Paul Cager ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) [070702 23:04]: I'm packaging a couple of Java libraries where the source files do not have any license declarations. This is being fixed in upstream's svn repository. I still want to package upstream's latest *release* rather than the head of svn, so is it OK just to explain the situation in README.Debian-source (leaving the source files without license declarations)? Explain it in debian/copyright, that's the proper place (the source files don't actually need license statement, even though of course it helps transparence and is therefore encouraged). Bug#255850:
Hi, is someone again (or still?) working on the NX packages? It would be really nice to have them in Debian for lenny. If sponsorship is needed I could help, same goes for random packaging questions, etc. but I don't intend to maintain the NX packages as I already have enough to do with my other packages ;) Bye -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#431465: ITP: libsvg -- library for parsing SVG files

Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) ---BeginMessage--- Package: wnpp Severity: normal I'm looking for someone who uses ircii-pana (bitchx). It's in good shape: the latest version is already in Debian, I'm about to upload a fix for the only RC bug, and I still use it every day. But I haven't had any interest in hacking on it in ages. Package: wnpp Severity: normal I intend to orphan the usbmgr package, since it lacks of upstream development and better options exists. I also intend to request for removal in a couple of weeks if no other still wants to take care of it. The package description is: When USB devices connect into or disconnect from a USB hub, the usbmgr works as follows, according to configuration: . a) Load and unload Linux kernel modules. b) Execute scripts to setup USB devices. . usbmgr is available under linux kernels having /proc/bus/usb and it is suitable for specific needs regarding USB devices. . This software was made for 2.4 kernels when USB support was inmature, for wider and modern support of plugable devices you may want to use hotplug by installing the udev package. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-k7 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=es_PE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_PE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#431634: RFP: keynav -- a tool to quickly move the screen pointer with the keyboard
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: keynav Version : 20070629 Upstream Author : Jordan Sissel [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.semicomplete.com/blog/projects/keynav/main.html * License : BSD style Programming Lang: C Description : a tool to quickly move the screen pointer with the keyboard Let me just quote a bit from the homepage: What is keynav? Another episode in the revolution against mouse-requisite interfaces. It's one more step towards impulse-driven computing. Enough marketing jargon. keynav is a piece of an on-going experiment to make pointer-driven interfaces easier and faster for users to operate. It lets you move the pointer quickly to most points on the screen with only a few key strokes. Note that I said pointer, not mouse. The mouse simply drives the pointer. We can drive the pointer with other devices too. keynav turns your keyboard into an fast pointer mover. What does it do? You select a piece of the screen. The screen is initially wholely selected. One move will cut that region by half. A move is a direction: up, down, left, and right. Once you're done moving, you simply indicate (with a key stroke) that you want to move. Boom, cursor moves. Why it is fast? keynav is geared towards selecting a piece of the screen very quickly. Recall from above that you are selecting a region by cutting the previous region by half. This gives us logarithmic scaling. High resolution screens incur about the same number of moves to select an area as smaller screens do. For example, to select any pixel on a screen with resolution 1920x1200 it would take 21 moves. 21 moves is horrible. There is a bright side! How often do you really want to click on a single specific pixel on your screen using your mouse? Never, right? Well, maybe almost never. Most of the time you want to: * Raise a window and give it focus: 80x80 pixel target (worst: 9 moves) * Click on an OK button: 60x25 pixels (worst: 11 moves) * Click on a text widget to activate it: 80x25 or larger -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-k7 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#424951:
Would like to make a note that the CCPL is not used for any of these packages. The main package (alien-arena) is under GPL with some scripts under LGPL. The data package (alien-arena-data) is under a custom clause where the package can be distributed provided it is distributed as a whole and with the intent of using them with alien-arena. -- Regards, Andres Mejia
