Bug#325159: in NEW
The packages are now in the NEW queue. I decided to drop the owfs = 1wire rename because the Upstream author did not want me to do this; ofws is the package name on sourceforge; most people, he says, will use that name to search for the package. -- Matthias Urlichs | {M:U} IT Design @ m-u-it.de | [EMAIL PROTECTED] Disclaimer: The quote was selected randomly. Bug#436101: ITP: ack-grep -- a tool like grep
Hi Marc-André I've looked a little more at you package of ack-grep. It looks like you're aware of the package currently named ack. Both packages provides /usr/bin/ack which isn't allowed according to Debian Policy chapter 10.1 and having both packages using the same name for source package will break things. If you want you pacakge uploaded you should fix these problems. Using the same source pacakge names as another package is really a showstopper. I would still be like to sponsor you packages or upload my own packages. //Peter Makholm

Bug#443840: RFP: coin-cbc -- COIN-OR Branch-and-Cut Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) solver
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: coin-cbc Version : 1.2.0 Upstream Author : CBC mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.example.org/ * License : Common Public License (CPL), version 1.1 Programming Lang: C++ Description : COIN-OR Branch-and-Cut Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) solver Cbc (Coin-or branch and cut) is an open-source mixed integer programming solver written in C++. It is primarily meant to be used as a callable library, but a basic, stand-alone executable version is also available. Mixed integer programming (MIP) is a generalization of linear programming (LP) and allows to find the minimum solution of objective functions depending linearly on variables, which are linearly constrained and additionally may have integrality constraints. Cbc is part of the larger COIN-OR initiative (Computational Infrastructure for Operations Research) and depends on the COIN-OR Clp linear programming solver for solving subproblems. Cbc works well as independent solver (reading files in the MPS format) and as a solver backend for AMPL. Project homepage: https://projects.coin-or.org/Cbc (Additional comment: this package would complement both the existing light-weight solvers glpk and lp-solve very well, as Cbc is arguably the best heavy-weight open source MIP solver, approaching the quality of ilog Cplex.) -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.20 (PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. What it is The Linux-ready Firmware Developer Kit is an open source tool to test how well Linux works together with the firmware (BIOS) of your machine. The kit consists of a bootable CD that runs a series of tests and then presents the results on the screen for interactive inspection. The tests all check an aspect of the firmware that Linux uses or depends on for optimal operation. Who it is for The primary target for the kit is firmware development and test teams at companies that produce their own system BIOS. With this kit, we provide these teams a tool that is easy to learn and use to do a basic set of Linux-related sanity checks on the firmware code during the various phases of the development cycle. In addition, we hope this tool is useful for kernel developers and Linux distributors in diagnosing bug reports when there is a suspicion of a bad interaction between Linux and the firmware. Participate We welcome all participation in this open source project. Feedback, bug reports, code contributions, and suggestions for new tests are welcomed. We anticipate the kernel development community helping this tool become even more useful by giving us feedback on those tests which are needed the most. Its main goal is to provide an easy way for developing and using VoIP and IM services in any kind of application. It was designed to be cross-platform, lightweight, thread-safe, having mobile devices and applications in mind. Tapioca's main goals are: * Create a solution that integrates all components used by VoIP and IM applications in a single, reliable and easy to use framework, which is able to work on different platforms. * Spare resources, providing central services for multiple applications. Eg.: The control of all incoming and outgoing SIP requests are managed by the SIP service, avoiding the creation of one SIP stack and allocation of a network port for each SIP-based application. * Reduce the overhead of control layers and library dependencies. Aditionnal Info : Main Site provides precompiled debs for debian unstable (apt), I tested those and it works under gnome, failed on standard xfce (dbus) I was able to phone to a googletalk client (windows). If noone work on it I'll see what I can do, ( http://rzr.online.fr/q/dpkg ) since it is a good alternative to closed source skype, ekiga is also a good option. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-k7-amiloa Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Hello, This is an automatic mail sent to close the RFP you have reported or are involved with. On performing a google search for it, I found the RFS message that went out to debian-mentors, which listed a sourceforge project page [1]. However, the SF page simply directed to the other site. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) ---BeginMessage--- Package: wnpp Owner: Peter Palfrader [EMAIL PROTECTED] Severity: wishlist * Package name: paperkey Version : 0.5 Upstream Author : David Shaw * URL : http://www.jabberwocky.com/software/paperkey/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C Description : extract just the secret information out ouf OpenPGP secret keys A reasonable way to achieve a long term backup of OpenPGP (GnuPG, PGP, etc) keys is to print them out on paper. The reasoning behind this is that paper and ink has amazingly long retention qualities - far longer than the magnetic or optical means that are generally used to back up computer data. Due to metadata and redundancy, OpenPGP secret keys are significantly larger than just the secret bits. In fact, the secret key contains a complete copy of the public key. Since the public key generally doesn't need to be escrowed (most people have many copies of it on various keyservers, web pages, etc), only extracting the secret parts can be a real advantage. Paperkey extracts just those secret bytes and prints them. To reconstruct, you re-enter those bytes (whether by hand or via OCR) and paperkey can use them to transform your existing public key into a secret key. ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: paperkey Source-Version: 0.6-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of paperkey, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: paperkey_0.6-1.diff.gz to pool/main/p/paperkey/paperkey_0.6-1.diff.gz paperkey_0.6-1.dsc to pool/main/p/paperkey/paperkey_0.6-1.dsc paperkey_0.6-1_i386.deb to pool/main/p/paperkey/paperkey_0.6-1_i386.deb paperkey_0.6.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/p/paperkey/paperkey_0.6.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
