Bug#433398: marked as done (RFA: dmx4linux -- DMX512 lighting protocol tools)
Your message dated Wed, 31 Oct 2007 08:59:37 +0100 with message-id [EMAIL PROTECTED] and subject line Removed has caused the attached Bug report to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) ---BeginMessage--- Package: wnpp The dmx4linux upstream software includes Linux kernel drivers for a number of DMX512 dongles as well as some console utilities such as a soft lighting console. The Debian package currently packages the utilities but not the kernel drivers. The prospective adopter would need to consider packaging the drivers to get the most use out of this package. DMX512 is a lighting control protocol commonly used in entertainment lighting, such as theatre. Cheers, Shaun -- Forwarded message -- From: Shaun Jackman [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Jul 16, 2007 3:16 PM Subject: Re: dmx4linux To: Mark Robinson [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Michael Stickel [EMAIL PROTECTED], Dirk Jagdmann [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello Mark, The Debian package does not yet build the kernel drivers. Due to limits on my time, I won't be able to support building the kernel drivers. I will post the package for adoption today. If you're interested in doing the work, Mark, you could consider adding the kernel driver support yourself, adopting the package, and finding a Debian developer to sponsor your work. If you're interested in tackling this project, the Debian mentors [1] is the place to start looking for help. Cheers, Shaun [1] http://mentors.debian.net On 7/16/07, Mark Robinson [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: ... Thanks very much for that Michael and Dirk. I'm now trying to get my head around building it. Bug#437837: marked as done (ITA: cinepaint -- motion picture image painting and retouching tool)
Your message dated Wed, 31 Oct 2007 08:59:19 +0100 with message-id [EMAIL PROTECTED] and subject line Gone has caused the attached Bug report to be marked as done. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) ---BeginMessage--- Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Cinepaint is an old GTK+ 1.2 application. It has been unmaintained for quite some time (over 18 months); the (non-DD) maintainer has been MIA since then. Cinepaint is very buggy. Many of the menu actions do not work, and several cause an immediate segfault. Even third party plug-ins such as the Print plug-in (libgutenprintui, which I maintain) do not work. Cinepaint is also being rewritten upstream, and as such the GTK+ codebase is being abandoned. There have been a few point releases, but it is essentially dead. Cinepaint does occupy a particular niche, being the only paint program in Debian (AFAIK) that can cope with bit depths over 8, such as 16-bit RGB or CYMK. It also supports ICC colour profiles. However, given its bugginess, it is probably best removed. Bug#448756: ITP: dmucs -- distributed compilation system for use with distcc
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Sam Clegg [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: dmucs Version : 0.6.1 Upstream Author : Victor Norman [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://dmucs.sourceforge.net/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C Description : distributed compilation system for use with distcc DMUCS is a system that allows a group of users to share a compilation farm. Each compilation request from each user will be sent to the fastest available machine, every time. The system has the following features: * Supports multiple users compiling simultaneously, and scales well to handle the new loads. * Supports multiple operating systems in the compilation farm. * Uses all processors of a multi-processor compilation host. * Makes best use of compilation hosts with widely differing CPU speeds. * Guarantees that a compilation host will not be overloaded by compilations. * Takes into account the load on a host caused by non-compilation tasks. * Supports the dynamic addition and removal of hosts to the compilation farm. * Works with distcc, which need not be altered in any way. You can get my initial package from here: http://superduper.net/downloads/debian/dmucs_0.6.1-1_i386.deb -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#399255: Looking for a new maintainer
Hello! I'm a co-author of the AddUser-NG. Lately we haven't had enough time to work on this project, and we would like someone to take it over. The new AddUser's home is at: http://code.google.com/p/adduser-ng/. Luiz, you said you wanted to maintain it in Debian. Maybe you also would like to adopt the whole project? If you (or anyone else) is interested or have any questions, please contact me. take care, Bartosz -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#85392: An honest man's the noblest work of God.
Evening, landlord :) The sad souls of those who lived without blame and without praise. Why indeed must ''God'' be a noun? Why not a verb -- the most active and dynamic of all. You do not notice changes in what is always before you. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
