Bug#450765: ITP: libjboss-aop-java -- JBoss Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) framework
Package: wnpp Owner: Varun Hiremath [EMAIL PROTECTED] Severity: wishlist * Package name: libjboss-aop-java Version : 2.0.0.beta2 Upstream Author : JBoss Inc. * URL or Web page : http://labs.jboss.com/jbossaop/ * License : LGPL Description : JBoss Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) framework JBoss AOP is a 100% Pure Java aspected oriented framework usuable in any programming environment or tightly integrated with our application server. Aspects allow you to more easily modularize your code base when regular object oriented programming just doesn't fit the bill. It can provide a cleaner separation from application logic and system code. It provides a great way to expose integration points into your software. Combined with JDK 1.5 Annotations, it also is a great way to expand the Java language in a clean pluggable way rather than using annotations solely for code generation. . JBoss AOP is not only a framework, but also a prepackaged set of aspects that are applied via annotations, pointcut expressions, or dynamically at runtime. Some of these include caching, asynchronous communication, transactions, security, remoting, and many many more. -- Varun Hiremath Undergraduate Student, Aerospace Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India --- Homepage : http://varun.travisbsd.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. * Thomas Jollans [Thu, 08 Nov 2007 17:43:55 +0100]: Hi Adeadato, Feel free to have a go. Alas, I have had a lot less time and energy than I expected when I changed the bug and have done very little for this package. I am interested in (co-)maintaining it, but it's very unlikely that I'll be able to get around to really doing something in the next week or three. Hello Thomas, and thanks. I'll prepare and upload packages, and will list you as a comaintainer. Ping me when you'd like to become active with the packaging. Please remove the brackets. I realize they're an artifact of the template, but just in case... 2. You're short description is too long -- should fit on one line. Don't put the package name in the short description. We know it's open source since it's in Debian. Suggestion: Description: draw plasmid and vector maps with high-quality graphics export. 3. Windows are managed using automatic layout algorithms, which can be dynamically reconfigured. At any time windows are arranged so as to maximise the use of screen real estate. All features of the window manager are accessible purely from the keyboard: a mouse is entirely optional. Xmonad is configured in Haskell, and custom layout algorithms may be implemented by the user in config files. A principle of Xmonad is predictability: the user ehould know in advance precisely the window arrangement that will result from any action. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental'), (1, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: xmonad Source-Version: 0.4-4 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of xmonad, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: xmonad-rebuild_0.4-4_all.deb to pool/main/x/xmonad/xmonad-rebuild_0.4-4_all.deb xmonad_0.4-4.diff.gz to pool/main/x/xmonad/xmonad_0.4-4.diff.gz xmonad_0.4-4.dsc to pool/main/x/xmonad/xmonad_0.4-4.dsc xmonad_0.4-4_i386.deb to pool/main/x/xmonad/xmonad_0.4-4_i386.deb xmonad_0.4.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/x/xmonad/xmonad_0.4.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. A proxy is a program that transfer data across a network boundary between a client and a server. Net::Proxy introduces the concept of connectors, which abstract the server part (connected to the client) and the client part (connected to the server) of the proxy. . This makes it very easy to implement specific techniques to cross a given network boundary, possibly by using a proxy on one side of the network fence, and a reverse-proxy on the other side of the fence. bye, - michael ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: libnet-proxy-perl Source-Version: 0.12-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of libnet-proxy-perl, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libnet-proxy-perl_0.12-1.diff.gz to pool/main/libn/libnet-proxy-perl/libnet-proxy-perl_0.12-1.diff.gz libnet-proxy-perl_0.12-1.dsc to pool/main/libn/libnet-proxy-perl/libnet-proxy-perl_0.12-1.dsc libnet-proxy-perl_0.12-1_all.deb to pool/main/libn/libnet-proxy-perl/libnet-proxy-perl_0.12-1_all.deb libnet-proxy-perl_0.12.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/libn/libnet-proxy-perl/libnet-proxy-perl_0.12.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. It follows similar principles as others (Apt-Cacher, Apt-Proxy, Approx) and serves the same purpose: a central machine presents the proxy for a local network and clients configure their APT setup to download through it. Apt-Cacher keeps a copy of all useful data that has been passed through it and when a similar request appears, the old copy of the data is delivered without redownloading it from the Debian mirrors. . Bug#450729: ITP: jclic -- Tool for the development and use of multimedia educational activities
On Fri, Nov 09, 2007 at 07:35:04PM +0100, José L. Redrejo Rodríguez wrote: Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: José L. Redrejo Rodríguez [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: jclic Version : 0.1.2.2 Upstream Author : Francesc Busquets [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://clic.xtec.net/ * License : GPL Description : Tool for the development and use of multimedia educational activities JClic is formed by a set of computer applications that are used for carrying out different types of educational activities: puzzles, associations, text exercises, crosswords... The activities are not usually used alone, but packed in projects. A project is formed by a set of activities and one or more sequences, which indicate the order in which they have to be shown. Currently it's very used in Spain and its community (http://clic.xtec.net/db/listact_en.jsp) has developed a web site with more than 1.000 activities available in several languages. JClic is developed in the Java platform and works in Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Solaris systems. Have you already built jclic from source? How? I tried to build it using gcj a long time ago (that is, before GPLd java was announced)... but failed. Back then I also found other issues related to the packaging and licensing, and sent a report upstream[1]. I'm interested in the package, but I was waiting for the inclusion of GPLd java in Debian before trying to package it again. Anyway, I would be glad to help co-maintain jclic if you are interested. 1. https://llistes.projectes.lafarga.cat/pipermail/jclic-development/2006-July/08.html
