The rename took place by unanimous decision of the upstream development team, to avoid confusion with ATI products that were recently purchased by AMD. The code is still the same as xserver-xorg-video-amd, but the filenames and the package name in configure.ac were changed to reflect the renaming. The code also includes a fallback that allows it to respond to an xorg.conf that requests the amd driver. This source package will therefore include transitional packages that allow users who already have xserver-xorg-video-amd to automatically pull the new xserver-xorg-video-geode driver. Actually it was never my intention to maintain kbd, but its maintainer was the group Console utilities maintainers and it seems currently I am the only member of this group... :) Here are the reasons why I am unable to maintain kbd properly and why a new maintainer is wanted: 1. I have absolutely no experience in compiling utilities like the utilities in kbd. I am not sure I will be able to fix any compilation errors if such errors occur. 2. While I have some experience in the script part of the package, I can not effectively watch these scripts because their effect is canceled by the scripts in the package console-setup (which I maintain). 3. (This is not a kbd-related problem.) Recently I am unable to process the email messages I receive as promptly, as a Debian maintainer should do. I think the package is currently in a more or less clean state. I haven't fixed #443645 and #443606 because I think the new maintainer should decide what should be done (these bugs are easy to fix but they allow two alternative solutions). There are patches in BTS about #190385, #190386 and may be #190387 but I haven't tried to fix things I don't understand. As of #399531, in BTS there is a suggestion how to fix. Bug#468325: ITP - Urban Terror -- Quake 3 based first person shooter
Moin Moing, while Urban Terror does not rely on the Quake III Arena game data anymore, there is currently still a legal conflict between the (closed source!) Mod licence they use for iourbanterror, which is actually based on the GPL licenced ioquake3 engine, as written in the comments here: http://happypenguin.org/show?Urban%20Terrorshowall=1#comments no it isn't. the q3-sdk-license says, that modifications may only be used with the original quake 3 arena game. and ioquake3/iourbanterror clearly is not quake 3 arena. they do distribute their game as standalone with the ioq3-executable, so they have to put the game source under GPL as well. if they don't want that they have to stop calling it standalone and distributing the executable. - caedes Ciao, Fabio -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
