Bug#487933: Intent of this package, and reason for name
I must clarify on the intent of this package, basically to provide a way for users to play baseq3 quickly and easily (with the data installed via quake3-data) and also to play mods that require baseq3 assets (mods such as this would likely be installed per user in ~/.q3a/modname). Stand alone/total conversion mods (I.e. they do not require any baseq3 assets and/or may use a tweaked ioquake3) would go in their own packages (I'm working on such packages for UrbanTerror and World of Padman, and for such packages already exist for Tremulous, and OpenArena, and probably others). Also this package contains baseq3 specific menu entries and launcher scripts. I grabbed a copy of your game-package from SVN, and to my understanding it simply generates a locally installable deb from one's game data for a variety of games. When it is uploaded and works with baseq3, I'll gladly change this package's dependency from quake3-data to game-package. Again, just to clarify, the reason this package was named quake3 rather than ioquake3 was because it is designed to be used ONLY with baseq3 and mods requiring baseq3 assets. Those not requiring baseq3 assets will have their own package. If there is anything wrong with what I've said above, please don't hesitate to inform me. Bug#391887: RFS: freemat
Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for my package freemat. * Package name: freemat Version : 3.6~dfsg-1 Upstream Author : Samit Basu [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://freemat.sourceforge.net/ * License : GPLv2 Section : math It builds these binary packages: freemat- Mathematics Framework (mostly MATLAB compatible) freemat-data - freemat data files freemat-help - freemat help files The package appears to be lintian clean. Bug#488753: ITP: libapache2-mod-passenger -- Rails and Rack module for Apache2
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Filipe Lautert [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: libapache2-mod-passenger Version : 2.0.1 Upstream Author : Phusion [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.modrails.com * License : GPL Programming Lang: C++ Description : Rails and Rack module for Apache2 Phusion Passenger — a.k.a. mod_rails — makes deployment of applications built on Ruby on Rails web framework a breeze. Passenger is an Apache2 module and it's ability to automatically manage Rails server processes lowers system administration, while retaining stability/robustness and performance. There is a guy (Neil Wilson) who already started to package passenger to Ubuntu. I'll contact him and see what we can do to have this package in Debian/Ubuntu. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.23.17-linode43 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
