This package provides two tools for manipulating the IO scheduler:

fincore is a command that shows which pages (blocks) of a file are in core
memory. It is particularly useful for determining the contents of the
buffer-cache.

fadvise is a command used to give file advisory information to the operating
system. Its --dontneed option is particularly useful in that it causes the
files' pages (blocks) to be evicted from the buffer-cache.

Description: Removes 'capabilities' in the kernel, making the system more secure
Capabilities are a form of kernel-based access control. This program
provides a user-friendlier way than setting proc/sys/kernel/cap-bound by hand
to remove capabilities from your Linux kernel.
 .
For example, you can remove the capability to load kernel modules by executing
'lcap CAP_SYS_MODULE' as root. Then no one, not even root, can load modules
into your kernel. This can be useful for tightening the security of your
 Linux machines.

Bug#452188: adopting masqmail

2008-09-28 Thread markus schnalke
Hello,

this is a short statement about my ITA.

I use masqmail on my machines and like it. I want to have it stay in
Debian and be in a good shape. Now it'll be on me to assure that.

Currently I'm writing my diploma thesis _about masqmail_ and I will
work on it in the next months. So maintaining it is somehow the
logical result. (Not only for that time, but for the future!)

Because the upstream author (and former maintainer) Oliver Kurth is
not active anymore, I'll also take over upstream and want to start
developing it again. (I have his okay.)

I hope my skills are adequate.

meillo

P.S.
Of course help and advice is appreciated!
