In addition, the Makefile and the source code say it is GPL v2 or
later. I think upstream should make up their mind about which version
of the GPL to use.

Some more things:

Your package description needs some grammar fixes, please ask for a
review on debian-l10n-english.

You don't specify any specific version the GPL for your packaging, was
that intentional?

Upstream's license grant is unclear about the GPL version; "either
version 3 of the License." doesn't make sense.

The ReadMe.txt file only contains information present elsewhere in the
package (debian/copyright, debian/control, debian/rules,
debian/postinst, debian/conf), I don't think you need to ship it in
the .deb.

Other than that (and without having tested it) the package looks good.

Fotoxx is a program for improving digital photos. It allows you to navigate
through large image directories using a window of thumbnail images, create HDR
(high dynamic range) images by combining bright and dark images to improve
details visible in both bright and dark areas, create panoramas by joining
overlapped images, adjust brightness and color intensity independently for
different underlying brightness levels, reduce fog or haze by removing
"whiteness" and intensifying colors, rotate an image (level a tilted image or
turn 90 degrees), remove red-eyes from electronic flash photos, sharpen,
resize, or crop images, reduce noise in low-light photos, change color depth,
and stretch an image by dragging the mouse.

Hello David,
This package used to be in Debian, but was removed due to lack of
uploads by myself & a low popularity. Are you wanting to use this
package for other projects, or to try & use it with Portable.NET?
I have the various branches for packaging here if you want to use them,
and could sponsor uploads if you want to maintain this - I have not used
this package for some time now.

Thanks,
Andrew

email2trac is a plugin for Trac to automatically create tickets
by e-mail.

Note 1: There is a small suid wrapper in C. To make the package
architecture=all, this could be left out, because for a standard
setup with exim4 or postfix it is not needed.

Note 2: There is already a debian directory in the source and the
package builds. However, the packager would have to rework this,
e.g. to change the package name and solve the lintians.

Description: Log file viewer with regexp matching, highlighting, & hooks
Swatch is designed to monitor system activity. It reads a configuration
file which contains pattern(s) to look for and action(s) to perform when
 each pattern is found.
 .
A typical action is echoing the matched line in a variety of colours and
formats including reverse video, bold, underline, and normal, which swatch
knows how to do internally. Other actions include sending mail or
executing an arbitrary program on the line.
 .
Swatch is written in Perl and uses Perl regular expressions for line
 matching.

License and copyright holder are two different things. Licenses
specify what you are allowed to do with the work, the copyright holder
information tells you who is giving you a license.

A review of your source package:

debian/watch should use the standard sf qa redirector, please read the
uscan manual page.

The upstream source does not contain any copyright information, you
might want to ask them to fix that.

There is a new upstream version available (0.7).

Please ask upstream to fix the compiler warnings:

src/mod_spamhaus.c: In function 'core':
src/mod_spamhaus.c:256: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer
without a cast
src/mod_spamhaus.c: In function 'num_cached_ip':

A review of your source package:

Please send your changes upstream if you haven't already.

The cp calls can be moved into debian/postfixadmin.install.

Some of the postinst might be replaced by wwwconfig-common and you
might want to extend wwwconfig-common to support stuff it doesn't yet.

#448682 is fixed, do you need to make an changes as a result?

Would it be possible to make dbconfig-common do the stuff listed in
DOCUMENTS/SECURITY.txt? If not, please file a bug about it.

Standards-Version does not need the final .1 since only typos and
minor changes occur in policy 3.8.0.X

I don't know enough about debconf or web stuff to review the rest of
the package.

Bug#504266: RFP: darwin-calendar-server -- CalDAV calendar server

2008-11-02 Thread Josh Triplett
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: darwin-calendar-server
  Version : 1.3
  Upstream Author : Apple
* URL : http://calendarserver.org/
* License : Apache License 2.0
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : CalDAV calendar server

Darwin Calendar Server provides a collaborative shared calendar using
the standard CalDAV protocol. Many calendaring programs support
synchronizing their calendar with a CalDAV server.

Note that Darwin Calendar Server uses filesystem extended attributes
(xattrs), so you must enable xattrs on the filesystem used to store
the calendar data.

The package has been sponsored into Debian late last month
http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gracie/news/20081025T212042Z.html>
sponsored by Gustavo Noronha Silva. You can see its package page at
http://packages.debian.org/gracie>.

This bug should have been closed automatically at that point, since
the changelog contains a correct hint to that effect; but the upload
message didn't contain that part of the changelog. Gustavo, any
clue why that didn't happen?

Regardless, I'll manually close this bug now.
