Bug#504080: ITP: courier-pythonfilter -- filter collection for the Courier MTA
Hi Frederik, Recently I've packaged Pythonfilter 1.4. It's not perfect, because I don't have the experiences with debianization of Python applications, but it works for me. Let me know, if you're interested. I can share my work with you. Please note that my package is named courier-filter-python. Pythonfilter is the most popular Python filtering framework for Courier-MTA, so it can be alternative for Perl implementation named courier-filter-perl. Bug#449205: ITP: otf-stix -- the Scientific and Technical Information
retitel 449205 ITP: otf-stix -- the Scientific and Technical Information owner ! thanks I've investigated a current status of MathML support and I'd like to upload a package of STIX fonts. At present, we have latex-xft-fonts, xfonts-mathml, ttf-mathematica4.1 for MathML but with iceweasel (=3.0), they don't have any good (nor bad?) effects on rendering of MathML as far as I know. So, in the first place, I think it is wrong or meaningless that iceweasel suggests these fonts. With stix beta fonts, iceweasel (=3.0) seems to display MathML well to some extent. But an upstream document says they are yet only a subset of future release version. Further and unfortunately, it is too late to ship stix fonts in lenny. So, in short, iceweasel couldn't support MathML in lenny. Anyway, I already packaged stix beta fonts and will soon upload it to experimental. If I misunderstand anything or some of you know much more information, please let me know. Bug#504058: Zotero license and what packaging benefit?
It is unclear to me what benefit making a package would bring. exactly the same benefits as any other package of firefox extension: Presumably these benefits are minor, as there are relatively few firefox extensions in the package repositories. I bet your pardon, their 'minor' is 'major' for me, whenever I am to administer such a computational server with 30 users and want to make them use zotero. zotero needs pdftotext and pdfinfo tools to be present or otherwise suggests to download them for you and place in its directory. In the past, at least, zotero needed /modified/ versions of these utilities. The system-supplied versions may or may not work now (I haven't checked; I advised them how to make them work on all platforms, but I don't think they've pushed these changes yet). The changes to these utilities are minor (e.g. adding file output), but have not been accepted by upstream as far as I know. I hope they make zotero compatible with upstream versions of the tools... btw on their VCS I see only changes to https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/tools/xpdf/pdfinfo.cc so there is a hope that pdftotext is fine as is in Debian? ;-) For me, trial on zotero failed miserably -- after a crash of firefox, zotero fails to open its own database (.bak file was already bad one after 'failed' opening)... and I reluctant at this point to investigate the problem due to shortage of time... but I might give zotero another try whenever it is in Debian since it would make it much easier to file a bug report than using their forums. -- Yaroslav Halchenko Research Assistant, Psychology Department, Rutgers-Newark Student Ph.D. @ CS Dept. How to validate a user supplied email address is a FAQ (see perlfaq9): the only sure way to see if a supplied email address is genuine is to send an email to it and see if the user recieves it. The one useful check that can be performed on an address is to check that the email address is syntactically valid. That is what this module does. . This module is functionally equivalent to RFC::RFC822::Address, but uses regular expressions rather than the Parse::RecDescent parser. This means that startup time is greatly reduced making it suitable for use in transient scripts such as CGI scripts. . The package is usualy easy to maintain but my successor should better have good understanding of IP networking and some experience in maintaining patched packages. Regards, Eduard. The package description is: vpnc is a VPN client compatible with cisco3000 VPN Concentrator (also known as Cisco's EasyVPN equipment). vpnc runs entirely in userspace and does not require kernel modules except of the tun driver to communicate with the network layer. . It supports most of the features needed to establish connection to the VPN concentrator: MD5 and SHA1 hashes, 3DES and AES ciphers, PFS and various IKE DH group settings. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) -- NForcer Man ist das nen Caps-Lock Wetter ...
