I'm very very sorry for my inconvenience. Shame on me, shame! I really
didn't want to "steal" this package from you. My only explanation for
such behavior is that I'm still new in maintaining packages and didn't
read it carefully enough. Once more -- I'm very very sorry for this! If
there's anything I can do to help (so I can buy by guilt) just drop me a
line!

It's out from mentors.d.n, it's all yours now!

Very ashamed,

ah, sorry, I was only going by the Subject line from Filip's email. I

I am wondering what is not clear about the words "Intent to package"
and "Owner of a bug".

A Request For Packaging was filed weeks ago, I declared my Intent To
Package a few days ago, set the owner of this bug to myself, and I
already started working on the packaging itself. You have uploaded
your own work without asking me about it and being definitely unfair.

Please, remove your package from mentors.d.o, I will upload my package
in a few hours or days.

Bug#533450: Never Mind

2009-07-13 Thread Kushal Koolwal

I found what was causing the error. Actually it was buried inside the log file.

All I had to do was to add the IgnoreACPI option in the Device section.

Also note that once I installed all the packages I gave the command:

X -configure
cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and added the IgnoreACPI option in the xorg.conf file.

Now I have Xorg running on Debian unstable with 3D working.

Now only if I can figure out what additional changes needs to make it run on
Debian stable.

Thank you Adam for providing all the important information.

Bug#536825: ITP: libfile-fu-perl -- Perl module for file and directory manipulation as objects

2009-07-13 Thread Jonathan Yu
Package: wnpp
Owner: Jonathan Yu
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-de...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: libfile-fu-perl
  Version : 0.0.6
  Upstream Author : Eric Wilhelm
* URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/File-Fu/
* License : Artistic | GPL-1+
  Programming Lang: Perl
Description : Perl module for file and directory manipulation as objects
File::Fu provides the toplevel interface to directory and file objects, with
operator overloading which allows precise path composition and support for
most built-in methods. It also provides a way to create temporary directories
and files, finding files, and more.
 .
The interface and style provided by this module are quite different than Perl
built-in functions or File::Spec. The syntax is concise and errors are checked
using exceptions, so you never need to check a return code.

 Class::Accessor::Classy provides an extremely small-footprint accessor/mutator
declaration scheme for fast and convenient object attribute setup. Its intent
is to be a simple and speedy mechanism for preventing hash-key typos rather
than a full-blown object system with type checking and so on.
 .
The accessor ('foo') and mutator ('set_foo') methods appear as a hidden parent
class of your package and stay out of your way otherwise.

So I spend a good chunk of my weekend getting up Xorg driver running. I was
able to compile the packages
and install them on my Debian unstable (2.6.30-1-686) system after following
Adam's instructions (thanks).

Now upon rebooting, the psb framebuffer driver kicks in and then X server tries

Well, I made this package as an practice, to be honest. Daily I use
Gwibber which should be in Debian Sid in few days, but... Mbpurple is
pretty simple to package and maintain, so if there won't be any other
person to maintain it, I will do it with pleasure (:
I believe there's only one lintian warning, which complains about
missing upstream changelog.

You can get the code from [1] (web interface) or [2] (anonymous svn)

Help and collaboration is welcome. Those willing to contribute should

Then go to [5] and request to join the collab-maint project. This will

Bug#516351: see/seetxt 0.61

2009-07-13 Thread MK

> I've noticed you are managing the version number as if it was a
> float.

Yeah, I was not aware of this issue at all. It's all the same to me,
so I could make the next one 0.6.2, or else 0.70.

I thought the debian package was going to be called seetxt, you may
have to bug Joop about that as I did not do the packaging.

As for the project name and source tarballs, I can do that easily
enough as well -- the homepage is actually already called
seetxt.sourceforge.net since there was the same conflict there
initially. So that will mean updating a few things at the website, I
should be able to do that this week. I guess I will either have to
actually tar another release, or else add some note to the effect that
"seetxt 0.6.1" is the same as the previously released "see 0.61".

Not sure what this will mean for the listing here:
http://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html
Will we have to start all over again now? Or can it get accepted as
"unstable" and then we can make minor adjustments?

Mark

I intend to orphan the wmnd package.

The package description is:
Shows a graph of incoming/outgoing traffic, activity indicators for rx/tx and
current/maximum rate for rx/tx in bytes or packets.
 .
Tailored for use with WindowMaker, it will as well work with any other window
 manager though.

Bug#429169: any word on packaging?

I'm way out of commission with this... if you'd like to take the reigns,
please do. After that initial burst of energy on it, the ITP has become a
