The netCDF Client Library is an alternative implementation of Unidata's
netCDF 3.6 API. Our version adds the capability to dereference OPeNDAP URLs.
You can substitute our version of the library when linking your application and
then simply pass an OPeNDAP URL in where you would normally use a file name.

Great! I just built the package. So far it looks pretty well. For a first
look, I saw only some minor issues (typos, xbmc-live.install not
up-to-date (file extensions must be stripped from bin/*), some minor
improvements).

As far as a status goes, I'm now at the point where I could commit a package
 to
git.debian.org for review and ask for someone to sponsor the package.

Go for it! If nobody else already volunteered, I would sponsor an upload.

package is similar to xbiff but has some more features like

Description: BitTorrent Client written in C++
This application is written in the C++ language and doesn't
require any graphical component, such as an X server. Original
ctorrent's upstream has stopped its development and now it's kept
updated with new releases/bug fixes by a new developer.
It's built as a console program and it can be even used remotely
in a machine that provides outside ssh access. Other main features are:
 .
  * Support for large files (2GB) and large torrents (255 files).
  * Strategic selection of pieces to request for download.
  * Continuous queueing of download requests, tuned based on
latency and throughput for each peer.
  * Improved download performance, including parallel requests
in initial and endgame modes.
  * Improved bandwidth regulation.
  * Improved compatibility with other peers.
  * Performance optimization and bug fixes.
  * An interface for monitoring and managing multiple clients.
  * Dynamic cache allocation and management, including prefetch.

As pdb2pqr is tighlty coupled to apbs and thus pymol, which are already
maintained by debichem, I think maintaining pdb2pqr in Debichem as well
would make the most sense. And I would be certainly willing to
co-maintain it (provided you prefer svn to git; otherwise I will have to

Sure!
I was off for three weeks w/out Internet access until this Monday and previous
to that I was somewhat dragged to other packages.

The package is on collab-maint, you can try it by yourself, it compiles w/out
problems, the only thing missing is a valid init scripts (there are multiple
daemons to be started), do you want to help? :-) There should be a version of
the init script on the git repos but I don't remember if it works or not, I know
for sure that it is not complete.

Apart from the init script nothing else should be missing

Bug#515539: cgmail removal from PAPT

2009-07-15 Thread Luca Falavigna
Hello Dmitrijs,

as you see, Andrea came back and decided to continue maintaining cgmail
himself. He decided to use bzr as VCS, so I removed your version from
PAPT subversion repository. Latest files commited are stored here:
http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/python-apps?view=revrevision=3296

Thank you!

Bug#518059: ITP: cfengine3

2009-07-15 Thread Ariel Garcia

I was off for three weeks w/out Internet access until this Monday and
previous to that I was somewhat dragged to other packages.

no prob :-)

The package is on collab-maint, you can try it by yourself, it compiles

ok found it now... but no trace of it searching in
   http://alioth.debian.org/projects/collab-maint
Found it in the git repo :)

w/out problems, the only thing missing is a valid init scripts (there are
multiple daemons to be started), do you want to help? :-) There should be a
version of the init script on the git repos but I don't remember if it
works or not, I know for sure that it is not complete.

Apart from the init script nothing else should be missing

thanks, will try to give it a go

Cheers, Ariel

Bug#537110: ITP: libdap -- A C++ SDK contains an implementation of DAP 2.0 and 3.1, Client- and Server-side support classes and a prototype implementation of the AIS

2009-07-15 Thread Youhei SASAKI
Hi, Faidon

Could you include a brief description of DAP and AIS?
Reading this description made absolutely no sense to me.

DAP is Data Access Protocol. AIS is Ancillary Information Services
provides some syntax and semantics.
  - syntax: the computer representation of a data object, data types
and structures at the computer level; e.g., This data is a
floating point array of 20 by 40 elements.
  - semantics: The information about the contents of an object; e.g.,
This data is sea surface temperature in degrees Celsius for a
certain region of the Earth.

This library provides C++ SDK for OpeNDAP(Opensource Network Data
Access Protocol). OpeNDAP is a framework that simplifies all aspects
of scientific data networking.

OPeNDAP provides software which makes local data accessible to remote
locations regardless of local storage format. OPeNDAP also provides
tools for transforming existing applications into OPeNDAP clients
(i.e., enabling them to remotely access OPeNDAP served data).

Dear all,

15th of July is the traditional EMBOSS release (EMBOSS is a set of command line
tools for molecular biologists). Two satellite packages are already present in
Debian and here is the ITP for a third. Package structure is trivial and upload
will follow shortly. It will not add to my long list of work-in-progress ITPs.

I will upload the source package to the debian-med Subversion repository after
I escape from a strange svn bug that crashes my machine when doing ‘svn mv’.
