Bug#471094: ITA: mantis
Hi, Hi Olivier and Patrick, I'm interesting to ITA mantis cause I think it's a good application (I used it from a very long time) and when I saw Patrick O request I feel that it was important to continue with his hard work.. just saw your ITA on mantis. I'm happy to hear someone is interested in taking it over. Feel free to work on it as you like. But don't expect me to do something in the near future anyway ;) Just some hints to get you started: The current packaging is in git. The SVN repository is out-of-date and has just been kept there, because debcheckout would otherwise fail on non-sid/testing machines. BTW, if you are asking for my personal skills, I'm a programmer and I'm sure I would not have problems with the source code :-) Cool. What I suggest to you is to work close with Gianluca Sforna, who is working upstream and is also the package maintainer for Fedora. He might have similar problems as you and it might be possible to use synergy effects. Basically he is good to work with, so :) You should subscribe to the mantisbt-dev list, because important discussions are taking place there and it doesn't accept mails from unsubscribed persons, unfortunately. Its also wise to get an account for the bug tracker and ask the mantis developers to get you developer access, because this way you can keep track on not-yet-disclosed-security-bugs. Have fun with the package.. best Regards, Patrick -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

retitle 526936 RFP: formalchemy -- auto-generation and customizable form fields from SQLAlchemy mapped classes noowner 526936 thanks Hello, I was thinking about using FormAlchemy in one of my project at work but finally we end up using Toscawidgets. Therefore, it would be better if someone else actually using FormAlchemy maintains it. Bug#409849: First rough draft of an afni Debian package
A first (very rough) draft of a Debian package for AFNI is now available at: http://neuro.debian.net/pkgs/afni.html It is not yet ready for Debian and is also lacking a lot of the necessary documentation, but it should somewhat work. Please install 'afni' and look at 'man afni'. *ANY* comment or bugreport is very much appreciated. Please post to this ITP bug. This package is still a bit large, due to a lot of code duplication in AFNI itself. I already got a patch that would help with it and I will be looking into it over the next couple of days. I would very much like to get recommendations for a sane default configuration for AFNI on Debian. I will push the AFNI packaging to git.debian.org shortly (will drop a note here, when it is done). There is also the need to package the AFNI atlas data. I have a draft package already that I will also publish shortly. Just have to make sure that I do not run into serious licensing trouble... Release automation First of all, there is support for automation of software release around the 'ui-auto-release' tool; it currently (Oct 2009) supports the build systems autotools and cmake and the version control systems cvs, svn and git. Its basic goal is to automate the reoccurring administrative duties around software releases (like NEWS/ChangeLog files, VC tagging, uploading, ...). It also has a non-interactive mode that makes it suitable for automated snaphot builds from cron, and a special Debian mode to automate Debian package builds. Tools: ui-auto-release, ui-auto-ubs, ui-auto-uvc, ui-auto-release-multi 2. Development help Secondly, there is also a set of tools to help develop from VC checkouts (simply via environment variables). This is useful if you develop on several projects at the same time having inter-dependencies. Tools: ui-auto-env, ui-auto-shell, ui-auto-update 3. cmake and autotools library There is small library for autotools (m4 macros) and cmake (tests) to avoid redundancies per project for ui-auto project. This Yes is NOT a special answer only for Debian. My recognition on `free software' is not the permanently constant notion. Therefore I won't define the fixed license sentences at any moment of my life. All I can say now is I hope the free software be; freely usable, freely (re-)distributable without any charge for itself, freely modifiable unless the original author(=me)'s copyrights are infringed or neglected, absolutely not responsible to any result from itself. If there is A license clauses which implies these points above in some era, this software can be classified into the group that the clauses want to assume as `free'. Bug#409849: First rough draft of an afni Debian package
Excellent work! I have two updates. The first adds an afni-dev package to include headers needed to use libmri etc as well as to compile AFNI plugins. I wasn't sure where these should go--this places them inside /usr/include/afni. The second patch allows either openmotif or lesstif to be used. Again, wonderful work! --judd On Mon, Oct 19, 2009 at 11:42 AM, Michael Hanke michael.ha...@gmail.comwrote: A first (very rough) draft of a Debian package for AFNI is now available at: http://neuro.debian.net/pkgs/afni.html It is not yet ready for Debian and is also lacking a lot of the necessary documentation, but it should somewhat work. Bug#546452: Distribute package
Hi, I read you have an ITP on distribute. I'll be interested to help/comaintain if needed. I missed the ITP when searching so my package is ready if it can help. It would be great to include Distribute in the DPMT team. Bye, -- Carl Chenet -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#551700: RFP: cups-bjnp -- CUPS backend for Canon printers using the BJNP (USB-over-IP) protocol
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: cups-bjnp Version : 0.5.4 Upstream Author : Louis Lagendijk llagend...@users.sourceforge.net * URL : http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/cups-bjnp/ * License : CUPS License Agreement Programming Lang: C Description : CUPS network printing for Canon printers using the BJNP protocol Suggests: cups-driver-gutenprint A CUPS backend for the proprietary Canon BJNP (USB over IP) protocol. This allows printers such as the MX-850 to be used as network printers. . This package does not contain drivers; an appropriate driver must be found in another package. For example, the CUPS MX-850 works well with the PIXMA 5300 driver from the cups-driver-gutenprint package. [There may be a better way to organise the long description; look at other similar packages such as foo2zjs for ideas.] -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
