Bug#568981: ITP: gfarm -- a reference implementation of the Grid Datafarm
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: NIIBE Yutaka gni...@fsij.org * Package name: gfarm Version : 2.3.0 Upstream Author : Osamu Tatebe tat...@cs.tsukuba.ac.jp * URL : http://datafarm.apgrid.org/ * License : BSD, LGPL, CDDL Programming Lang: C Description : a reference implementation of the Grid Datafarm The Gfarm filesystem is a distributed filesystem consisting of the local storage of commodity PCs. PCs in a local area network, compute nodes in a single cluster, multiple clusters in wide area, comprise a large-scale, high-performance shared network filesystem. The Gfarm filesystem solves performance and reliability problems in NFS and AFS by means of multiple file replicas. It not only prevents performance degradation due to access concentration, but also supports fault tolerance and disaster recovery. Older version has packaged for Debian in the past and .deb seemed distributed once. In fact, source code contains debian/ directory, but it outdated completely. Thus, I am packaging now, and push it into Debian. -- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

Ok, I will prepare an upload (and close this bug). Did you have a look at my package? I looked at the package. What about the contrib files that are released together with task like the example scripts for vim, bash etc. I think they should as well be installed. What about the bash completion? I think it should be installed by default - unless there is a policy in Debain against it. Bug#569069: RFP: darktable -- a virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Homepage: http://darktable.sourceforge.net/ License: GPLv3 Description from the homepage: darktable is a virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers: it manages your digital negatives in a database and lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable. it also enables you to develop raw images and enhance them. this project tries to fill the gap between the many excellent existing free raw converters and image management tools (such as ufraw or f-spot). The user interface is built around efficient caching of image metadata and mipmaps, all stored in a database. the user will always be able to interact, even if the full resolution image is not yet loaded. all editing is fully non-destructive and only operates on cached image buffers for display. the full image is only converted during export. the frontend is written in gtk+/cairo, the database uses sqlite3, raw image loading is done using libraw, hdr, exr and low dynamic range are supported through imagemagick (magickcore). the core operates completely on floating point values, so darktable can not only be used for photography but also for scientifically acquired images or output of renderers (high dynamic range). darktable is released under the terms of the gnu general public license version 3 or later. The source includes a debian/ directory and instructions on how to build the package. The instructions are written for Ubuntu, but I managed to build it on Sid by just changeing the dependency on libexiv2 from libexiv2-5 to libexiv2-6. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#569076: RFA: tetradraw -- ANSI drawing and viewing utility
Package: wnpp Severity: normal Hi! I request an adoption for the tetradraw package. I don't really use it anymore, rather found aewan a more helpful toolwhen I want to do ansi pictures. Given that upstream isn't reachable anymore (at least the last times I tried) and that it gets harder to keep it compiling with all the autofoo changes I rather would like to see someone else more interested in it maintaining it. The package description is: tetradraw is an easy to use drawing utility that gives you an ease access to the high characters like smileys, card signs and the well known single and double frame line characters but much more. Also the changing of foreground and background colors is not hard to do. . tetraview is the viewer for such produced images. Have fun! Some additional information that might be useful: - apt-able repositories of MariaDB are available from http://ourdelta.org/ - Package scripts for .deb are maintained on Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/ourdelta - Build of packages are automated in Buildbot: https://buildbot.askmonty.org/buildbot/grid?branch=5.1-releasecategory=package . (It might be helpful to check build logs from this to see how the packaging scripts are used). I can provide further information on the packaging scripts on request.
