Bug#572135: ITP: libstemmer -- Snowball stemming algorithms for use in Information Retrieval
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Stefano Rivera stef...@rivera.za.net * Package name: libstemmer Version : 0+svn526 Upstream Author : Dr Martin Porter mar...@tartarus.org and Richard Boulton rich...@tartarus.org * URL : http://snowball.tartarus.org/ * License : BSD Programming Lang: C Description : Snowball stemming algorithms for use in Information Retrieval Snowball provides access to efficient algorithms for calculating a stemmed form of a word. This is a form with most of the common morphological endings removed; hopefully representing a common linguistic base form. This is most useful in building search engines and information retrieval software; for example, a search with stemming enabled should be able to find a document containing cycling given the query cycles. Snowball provides algorithms for several (mainly European) languages. It also provides access to the classic Porter stemming algorithm for English: although this has been superseded by an improved algorithm, the original algorithm may be of interest to information retrieval researchers wishing to reproduce results of earlier experiments. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. It reads stdin and writes to stdout during the connection, just like netcat. . It can be used for instance to connect to an SSH server running on a remote 443 port through a strict HTTPS proxy. ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: corkscrew Source-Version: 2.0-6 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of corkscrew, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: corkscrew_2.0-6.debian.tar.gz to main/c/corkscrew/corkscrew_2.0-6.debian.tar.gz corkscrew_2.0-6.dsc to main/c/corkscrew/corkscrew_2.0-6.dsc corkscrew_2.0-6_i386.deb to main/c/corkscrew/corkscrew_2.0-6_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Bug#479708: [Pkg-javascript-devel] Bug#479708: ITP: xinha -- powerful WYSIWYG HTML editor
Hi Marcelo, Sorry for the delay, I've been talking with the upstream authors of both dotlrn and openacs about using the xinha debian package instead of providing their own one. They are using at least two own xinha plugins, and may have modified others as well. Should i join pkg-javascript to talk about it in its proper place :-)?
