 Latexmk runs LaTeX the correct number of times to resolve cross references,
 etc; it also runs auxiliary programs (bibtex, makeindex if necessary, and
 dvips and/or a previewer as requested). It has a number of other useful
 capabilities, for example to start a previewer and then run latex whenever the
 source files are updated, so that the previewer gives an up-to-date view of
 the document.

xvattr is a command-line tool that allows to get and set the XVideo

Currently, xvinfo from x11-utils allows to get the attributes, but AFAIK no

That's already in Debian as source package fuzzyocr. Still I doubt its
usefulness today because there's not that much picture spam left anymore,
isn't it?

Bug#573859: RFP: libdbxml -- Berkeley DB XML library

2010-03-14 Thread Nicolas George
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

URL: http://www.oracle.com/database/berkeley-db/xml/index.html
License: BSD-style and Apache 1.1
(
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/berkeley-db/htdocs/xmloslicense.html
 )

Berkeley DB XML is an embedded XML database system based upon Berkeley DB.

XML databases offer a middle ground between the basic key-value databases
and the rigidity of relational databases.

This implementation comes as a simple library and can handle a database in a
single plain file or a few files in a directory. There is no need for a
database server, user management, etc.

There are, AFAIK, no libraries with remotely similar features currently in
Debian.

The bundle has bindings for various languages, including Perl, Python, PHP
and Java. The Perl binding, at least, builds and works well.

  Programming Lang: Ruby
  Description : Susy is a elastic grid framework for Compass

 Susy is a semantic CSS framework, entirely native to Compass. Susy is
 an elastic grid system that will never activate the side-scroll bar.
 With Susy you can build quick, custom grids that respond to the needs
 of the user without giving up design integrity. Susy sets your width
 on the outer element (container), adds a max-width of 100% and builds
 the rest of your grid in percentages. The philosophy and technique
 are based on Natalie Downe's "CSS Systems" - which introduces
 difficult math in the service of beautiful structure.

 Using simple mixins, columns can be created, suffixed, prefixed, and
 nested easily - and always in flexible percentages.

Bug#430359: Any progress?

2010-03-14 Thread Mari Wang
[W. Martin Borgert]

If somebody else wants to take over, please go ahead. I became
distracted by real life back in 2007, and never got back to it.
Someone offered took it over at a later point (the exchange is
somewhere in the debianGIS email list archives, I can't seem to find
it now), but it seems that someone never finished their attempt
either. I thought ownership of the ITP was changed in the process,
but it obviously wasn't.

Either way, as I said, please go ahead and take over.

Greetings,

Bug#503976: tahoe and zfec

2010-03-14 Thread Giovanni Mascellani
Hi.

I'm interested in packaging tahoe-lafs and zfec for Debian. You opened
the ITP bugs for these two packages, but they seem to be quite inactive.
Are you still working on it?

If not, I'd like to acquire the ownership of the bugs and go on for it.
I'd start from the Ubuntu packages, trying to make them suitable for Debian.

I never worked on Python packages, so this could take some time. Also, I
surely won't be able to work on it for at least the next week. Of course
I'm totally open to co-maintain these packages with others: for
instance, I'm not a DD (although I just started the NM process), so
Micah could help in getting the packages into the archive! My preferred
VCS is GIT, and I already maintain many packages on it.

Thanks, Giovanni.

Bug#523886: Feedback

2010-03-14 Thread Rafael Cunha de Almeida
Just giving some feedback. I'm working in the outstanding bug, I already
have a patch, I'm waiting for upstream's answer. I also changed the
package format to 3.0 (quilt).

Hi,

There's already another package with the same name in the archive:
the Network UPS Tools.

I'm for now retitling this report.

Bug#573929: ITP: libcatalyst-devel-perl -- collection of development tools for Catalyst

2010-03-14 Thread Jonathan Yu
Package: wnpp
Owner: Jonathan Yu
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-de...@lists.debian.org,debian-p...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: libcatalyst-devel-perl
  Version : 1.27
  Upstream Author : Catalyst Contributors, see Catalyst.pm
* URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Catalyst-Devel/
* License : Artistic or GPL-1+
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : collection of development tools for Catalyst

Catalyst::Devel is a collection of modules that are useful for developing and
testing Catalyst applications, but which are not required to run them. It is
intended to simplify deployment of Catalyst applications; among other things,
it currently includes:

Module::Install::Catalyst
Provides various utilities for creating Catalyst module distributions.

Catalyst::Helper
Helper module for bootstrapping a Catalyst application via catalyst.pl.

Catalyst::Restarter
Utility to restart the server when files have changed

NOTES:
previously, this module was part of libcatalyst-modules-perl, but I
want to move it out of that bundle because it contains many useful
modules even where the rest of the Catalyst modules are not needed. A
bare-bones installation of the Catalyst runtime + Catalyst::Devel
might be sufficient for developers, and it would be useful to
(perhaps) minimize attack surface area in case there are
vulnerabilities in other Catalyst modules.

Bug#433270: bringing it into team maintenance?

2010-03-14 Thread Pablo Duboue
Hi Taisuke,

Would you consider bringing it into the Debian-Java project
(http://java.debian.net/)? It is as easy as joining the Alioth project.

I need this for packaging Processing, which you are of course also invited to
help packaging.

P.
