Thank you for all your great and quick work!

I looked at [1], but I did not find a way to get the packages. I
searched the Web on how to get or install packages from the NEW queue,
but I just found that people offer those packages in a private
archive/repository.

Do you have such a repository or an archive?

Thanks,

Paul

Do I understand correctly, that this is 1.3 beta5 version? Then I'll
rename it to 1.3~b5-1 according to common practices.

>It has two patches on it, fixing bugs in the build-system.
debian/patches/fix_crypto_makefile:
Shouldn't we just remove this logic completely and allow dpkg to care
about CXXFLAGS? Or set this flags from debian/rules if they differ
from default ones?
There is at least problem with Debian/kFreeBSD as I can see.

Bug#582782: ITP: serp -- Java Virtual Machine bytecode manipulation framework

2010-05-23 Thread Miguel Landaeta
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Miguel Landaeta

* Package name: serp
  Version : 1.14.1
  Upstream Author : A. Abram White
* URL : http://serp.sourceforge.net/
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: Java
  Description : Java Virtual Machine bytecode manipulation framework

The goal of the serp bytecode framework is to tap the full
power of bytecode modification while lowering its associated
costs.

The framework provides a set of high-level APIs for
manipulating all aspects of bytecode, from large-scale
structures like class member fields to the individual
instructions that comprise the code of methods.

While in order to perform any advanced manipulation, some
understanding of the class file format and especially of the
JVM instruction set is necessary, the framework makes it as
easy as possible to enter the world of bytecode development.

This package is needed to package OpenJPA library, which
in turn, it is needed to package Spring Framework 3.0.

I request to adopt the foff package.

The package description is:
 Free Open FTP Face is a lightweight graphical (GTK+) FTP client written in
 Python.
 .
 FOFF has a built-in terminal, text viewer, image viewer, audio player,
 checksums and one-click gzip (de)compression. The idea behind the built-in
 tools, is that regardless of the operating system, you can instantly preview
 files or perform common operations, since there's no overhead from loading an
 external program. With the exception of the (optional) audio player, these
 built in features do not add any dependencies.

I request an adopter for the lfm package.

 Last File Manager is a simple but powerful file manager for the
 UNIX console. It has been developed with the ol' good `Midnight
 Commander` as model.
 .
 lfm package also contains pyview, a text / hex file viewer to be
 used with or without lfm.

Package is currently maintained under PAPT umbrella [1], you're not
enforced to continue to do so, but please strongly consider it.

Bug#542368: gq - adopted upstream

Hi!

I sccessfully submitted a takeover request for gq at SourceForge.

I'm currently working on fixing especially #568526 and #555325. Would you be
willing to continue maintaining GQ in Debian? If not, would you assist me in
becoming maintainer for gq in Debian?

Regards,
Jakob

I request an adopter for the qa-assistant package.

 QA Assistant is a program that aids in quality assurance.
 It creates a graphical checklist from an XML description.
 A reviewer fills in the checklist and then the program
 outputs a review for submittal to a tracking system.

Package is currently maintained under PAPT umbrella [1], you're not
enforced to continue to do so, but please strongly consider it.

I request an adopter for the foff package.

 Free Open FTP Face is a lightweight graphical (GTK+) FTP client
 written in Python.
 .
 FOFF has a built-in terminal, text viewer, image viewer, audio player,
 checksums and one-click gzip (de)compression. The idea behind the
 built-in tools, is that regardless of the operating system, you can
 instantly preview files or perform common operations, since there's no
 overhead from loading an external program. With the exception of the
 (optional) audio player, these built in features do not add any
 dependencies.

Package is currently maintained under PAPT umbrella [1], you're not
enforced to continue to do so, but please strongly consider it.

  Version : 1.12
  Upstream Author : Olivier Teulière
* URL : http://www.nongnu.org/eliot/en/index.html
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : crossword game like Scrabble

Eliot is an open source Scrabble game which offers three different game modes:

1- The free game mode is the standard one, ideal for having fun with your
friends
   or family. The players play in turn on the board, each with his own rack.
2- In the duplicate mode, all the players are faced with the same board and
letters
   at the same time. It is mainly used in clubs and competitions since it takes
   away the chance (and tactics) component(s) of the game.
3- The training mode allows to play alone and make progress for the duplicate.
It
   gives more freedom than the multiplayer modes.

Eliot also provides many tools for advanced search such as the following:

- Search for the best move on a given board and rack.
- Search for the possible connections, "Benjamins" (addition of three letters at
  the beginning of a previous word), or for all the words that can be composed
with
  the letters of the rack.
- You can also use regular expressions to search in the dictionary.
