Description: port of the 1980's side-scrolling WWI dogfighting game
For the nostalgic among you, I present sopwith.
 .
This is an updated version of the 1980's game developed by David L. Clark of
BMB Compuscience Canada - it has been adapted to run under *nix using the SDL
toolkit. Poor graphics, stupid AI, and horrible sound await you. The gameplay
is simple, addictive, and fun. A `side-scroller', you pilot your biplane
across a static field, destorying enemy encampments and planes.

Bug#587958: ITP: forked-daapd -- media server with support for RSP, DAAP, DACP and AirTunes

  Version : 0.11 (git snapshot)
Upstream Author : Julien BLACHE j...@jblache.org
* URL : http://git.debian.org/?p=users/jblache/forked-daapd.git
* License : GPL + BSD
  Programming Lang: C
Description : media server with support for RSP, DAAP, DACP and AirTunes

forked-daapd is an iTunes-compatible media server, originally intended
as a rewrite of Firefly Media Server (also known as mt-daapd).

It supports a wide range of audio formats, can stream video to iTunes,
FrontRow and other compatible clients, has support for Apple's Remote
iPhone/iPod application and can stream music to AirTunes devices like
 the AirPort Express.

It also features RSP support for Roku's SoundBridge devices.

Built-in, on-the-fly decoding support enables serving popular free music
formats like FLAC, Ogg Vorbis or Musepack to those clients that do not
 otherwise support them.

Package has been ready for some time, initial upload will go to experimental
and move to unstable once antlr3 is in a position to move to testing.

Bug#543934: Thought about joining Debian Python teams ?

2010-07-03 Thread Carl Chenet
Hi Vincent,

Have you considered joining the Debian Python Applications Packaging
Team (PAPT) ? In that case, the package could be team-maintained (but
you stay the one in charge). Most of the packages embedding a Python
application are maintained by both the Debian Python Modules Team [1]
and Python Applications Packaging Team [2].

I'm a big fan of Canto and a member of the PAPT team. Please contact me
if you need more information.

Bug#587982: RFP: glmlite -- OCaml bindings for OpenGL

2010-07-03 Thread Florent Monnier
Subject: RFP: glmlite -- OCaml bindings for OpenGL
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-ocaml-ma...@lists.debian.org
Version: N/A; reported 2010-04-14

Package name: glmlite
Package Version: 0.03.49
Upstream Author: Florent Monnier fmonn...@linux-nantes.org
URL: http://www.linux-nantes.org/%7Efmonnier/OCaml/GL/
License: GPL
Description: OCaml bindings for OpenGL.
This package provides OCaml bindings for OpenGL.
There is a module for GL, Glu and Glut, and also some
texture loaders for different image file formats.
There are specialised/optimised loaders for jpeg, png and svg,
and also a generic image loader (which uses the libmagick).
The names of the functions are the same than in the C API,
and buffers are managed with bigarrays.
It is possible to write froward-compatible programs with glMLite.

More Informations for the packager:
By default building with only make will only build the OpenGL bindings because
this is what most people will want. Also if you wish to build everything you
have to install the -devel packages with the header files.
To build everything the command is 'make everything' then you need the devel
packages for these libraries: OpenGL, GLU, Glut, libjpeg, libpng, librsvg,
libmagick, libgle, libftgl.

The tarball also contains a lot of examples, here is the list of directories
(from the base dir):
TEST/ TEST3/ RedBook-Samples/ gle-examples/ nehe-examples/ LablGL/
If you package these examples I would recommend to patch the makefiles in these
directories, because the makefiles are made to work with the sources next to
it. So here are patches to make these makefiles work with the installed
library:
