Bug#602394: ITP: drupal6-mod-pingback -- pingback modules for Drupal 6
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Al Nikolov cl...@debian.org * Package name: drupal6-mod-pingback Version : 1.0 Upstream Author : Andreas Haugstrup Pedersen (http://drupal.org/user/83346) * URL : http://drupal.org/project/pingback * License : GPL Programming Lang: PHP Description : pingback modules for Drupal 6 The Pingback module enables Drupal to send and receive pingbacks to and from nodes. It is a pingback user agent as specified in the Pingback 1.0 specification. . Features: * Send and receive pingbacks * Enable pingbacks per content type * Send pingbacks on node creation or on cron (in case you post many links and want to queue up the pingbacks) . Unlike the trackback module for Drupal, this module register pingbacks as comments. You can manage received pingbacks using the normal comment pages. The one drawback to this approach is that anonymous users must be able to post comments (not a problem for most blogs). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#602393: ITP: python-greenlet -- a spin-off of Stackless, a version of CPython that supports micro-threads called tasklets
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: XuZhiXiang shell909...@gmail.com * Package name: python-greenlet Version : 0.3.1 Upstream Author : Kyle Ambroff k...@ambroff.com * URL : http://bitbucket.org/ambroff/greenlet * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python, C Description : a spin-off of Stackless, a version of CPython that supports micro-threads called tasklets The greenlet package is a spin-off of Stackless, a version of CPython that supports micro-threads called tasklets. Tasklets run pseudo-concurrently (typically in a single or a few OS-level threads) and are synchronized with data exchanges on channels. A greenlet, on the other hand, is a still more primitive notion of micro- thread with no implicit scheduling; coroutines, in other words. This is useful when you want to control exactly when your code runs. You can build custom scheduled micro-threads on top of greenlet; however, it seems that greenlets are useful on their own as a way to make advanced control flow structures. For example, we can recreate generators; the difference with Python's own generators is that our generators can call nested functions and the nested functions can yield values too. Additionally, you don't need a yield keyword. See the example in tests/test_generator.py. Greenlets are provided as a C extension module for the regular unmodified interpreter. Greenlets are lightweight coroutines in-process concurrent programming. This package is the py.magic.greenlet module from the py lib. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#602143: ITP: spice -- a remote display system for virtualized machine and desktop
Hi On Tue, Nov 2, 2010 at 1:46 PM, Ron r...@debian.org wrote: On Tue, Nov 02, 2010 at 08:15:42PM +0800, Liang Guo wrote: Great, if SPICE can be ported to the latest celt, we need not keep two different version of celt in debian. Ron, the maintainer of celt in Debian, prefer this methord. Indeed, since we'll be targeting a debian release that is some 2 years away from the present, it is quite likely that celt will in fact be bitstream frozen by then too (or replaced by a derivative that is). Adjusting to the newer API should be trivial, the main catch is the bitstream compatibility. I don't think we should be looking at packaging celt 0.5 retroactively though, we should be looking ahead. You can find a untested patch I wrote to support celt latest in addition to celt 0.5 here: http://gitorious.org/spice/elmarco-spice/commit/e310493a3e5a28f4b41dbc13cfaad7f982bca651 However, this patch is not suitable for upstream, because it obviously breaks compatibility between various version of client/server. Imho, we should consider celt 0.5 as being the current frozen bitstream (there has been already maintenance release of this version). We need to package it for Debian instead of pushing for an unstable version of celt in spice. regards, -- Marc-André Lureau -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Because staging tree is a place to dump the code temporarily if you commit to improve the driver and make it upstream eventually. From [1], it is not a place to dump code and then run away, hoping that someone else will do the cleanup work for you. While there are developers available to do this kind of work, you need to get someone to agree to babysit the code. Bug#592007: flex-sdk package: first draft
I don't know thing one about being a package maintainer, but I've attached the source for the flex-sdk package I hacked together for my own use. I figure I may as well share it and get some feedback. I'm going to take some time to read the developer's reference and the new maintainer's guide in the mean time. Thanks, --Joey Parrish flex-sdk.tar.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data
