Due to lack of time and interest I no longer properly maintain this
package.
The main developer is really concerned about having proper stable releases and
allowing to backport bugs. With some time and effort maintaining this is fairly
enjoyable.

I request an adopter for the haproxy package.

The package description is:
HAProxy is a TCP/HTTP reverse proxy which is particularly suited for high
availability environments. It features connection persistence through HTTP
cookies, load balancing, header addition, modification, deletion both ways. It
has request blocking capabilities and provides interface to display server
 status.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the libhtml-template-perl package.

The package description is:
HTML::Template attempts make using HTML templates simple and natural. It
extends standard HTML with a few new HTML-esque tags - ,
 , , and . The file
written with HTML and these new tags is called a template. It is
usually saved separate from your script - possibly even created by
someone else! Using this module you fill in the values for the
variables, loops and branches declared in the template. This allows
you to separate design - the HTML - from the data, which you generate
 in the Perl script.
 .
This module allows you to store its cache in shared memory using the
IPC::SharedCache module, please install libipc-sharedcache-perl if you
want to make use of this.

Nothing wrong with the package. Packaging is easy, new upstream releases
rarely take place nowadays. All patches have been forwardeded upstream.
The packages could be updated to a new debhelper compatibility level,
and maybe there are some new specifics in the Perl Policy I might have
missed. Basically, I for myself don't use this package anymore.

I'd prefer the new maintainer to keep close ties with the Perl
Maintainers.

Cheers,
Flo

The package is almost ready. The reason why it took so long to create the
package was UDX' alpha-status and some non-DFSG-compliant artwork
(music/paintings) which had to be replaced. I'm in contact with upstream
about this.
The stuff which would have to be done is updating the current packaging
with the latest upstream version, reviewing all licenses for
DFSG-incompliant stuff and upload the package.
The main reason for me not to maintain the package (alone) is that I don't
have a microphone/headset anymore, and I don't use it a lot. So fixing bugs
would take long, if I do it alone. (And I've absolutely less time atm)
I'm currently thinking of packaging UDX for the Debian-Games team and
co-maintain it there, so a lot of other people can help with this package.
(If they're interested)
Do you want to take the package or co-maintain it? ;-)
Cheers
  Matthias

Bug#618674: ITP: sagan-rules -- Real-time System & Event Log Monitoring System [rules]

2011-03-17 Thread Pierre Chifflier
Package: wnpp

Owner: Pierre Chifflier

* Package name: sagan-rules
  Version : 10212010-r1
Upstream Author : Champ Clark III
* URL : http://sagan.softwink.com/
* License : BSD
  Programming Lang: other (text files)
Description : Real-time System & Event Log Monitoring System [rules]

Sagan is a multi-threaded, real time system- and event-log monitoring
system, but with a twist. Sagan uses a “Snort” like rule set for
detecting malicious events happening on your network and/or computer
 systems.
If Sagan detects a potentially bad event, that event can be stored to a
Snort database (MySQL/PostgreSQL), send it to a SIEM tool like Prelude,
 or send an email.
 .
This package provides the rules for Sagan.

Kind regards.

Bug#618703: RFA: libpqxx3 -- C++ library to connect to PostgreSQL

2011-03-17 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the libpqxx3 package.

The package description is:
C++ library to enable user programs to communicate with
the PostgreSQL database back-end. The database back-end can
be local or it may be on another machine, accessed via
TCP/IP. This package obsoletes the libpqpp package.

I don't use this package anymore, neither Martin Pitt (an uploader).

Current status is mostly OK, 1 wishlist bug, actions needed for Wheezy:

1) remove already obsoleted in Squeeze libpqxx (v2) package
2) upgrade to the latest upstream release, 3.1.

An upstream is very responsive.

Bug#591817:

2011-03-17 Thread Antono Vasiljev
I prepared rubinius package for Ubuntu Natty[1]. You can get source from
my github repository[2].

Some people reported that it works for them. However I think it need
more work and comments from more experienced debian developer.

Bug#615158: Progress?

2011-03-17 Thread Stéphane Glondu
Le 12/03/2011 18:37, Michael Tautschnig a écrit :
> As I'd be interested in getting a package into Debian that would at least

I've pushed a preliminary packaging to:

  http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-ocaml-maint/packages/ocaml-cil.git

But:

 - Upstream is over-defensive in its configure script for no good
reason; basically only amd64 and i386 (and maybe some other native
architectures, but I'm not even sure) pass with the pristine one.
I've patched it so that it runs on some other architectures
supported by Debian (e.g. the kfreebsd ones).
 - I haven't yet tested all the provided tools... the packaging deals
   only with the OCaml library.
 - I haven't even reached the status where I could use the package for
my own development, let alone release a decent Debian package.

If anyone feels like continuing the work, please feel free to proceed...
but I won't dedicate much more efforts to this before months.

Cheers,

Stéphane
