Bug#600879: marked as done (RFH: apt-listbugs -- tool which lists critical bugs before each apt installation)
Your message dated Sat, 26 Mar 2011 06:52:13 + with message-id e1q3nm5-000274...@franck.debian.org and subject line Bug#600879: fixed in apt-listbugs 0.1.4 has caused the Debian Bug report #600879, regarding RFH: apt-listbugs -- tool which lists critical bugs before each apt installation to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what this message is talking about, this may indicate a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact ow...@bugs.debian.org immediately.) -- 600879: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=600879 Debian Bug Tracking System Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org with problems ---BeginMessage--- Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request assistance with maintaining the apt-listbugs package. The other co-maintainer (Ryan Niebur) is currently almost MIA and finally told me that he no longer wants to be involved in apt-listbugs maintenance: see http://bugs.debian.org/588636 and http://git.debian.org/?p=apt-listbugs/apt-listbugs.git;a=commitdiff;h=b999e0ba2f3c03ee367e45d7e8de4abbfe892457 if you want to read the full story... I would say that the package is generally in a decent shape: it normally works as intended, lintian does not complain about it, its non-pending bug count is decreasing (see http://qa.debian.org/data/bts/graphs/a/apt-listbugs.png), I usually manage to deal with bug reports and go ahead with developing work by myself, ... However, I sometimes need help with Ruby (I am not yet the Ruby expert I would dream to be!) or with packaging techniques (I am still learning them!). Hence, I would like to find someone else who could co-maintain the package with me. The ideal candidate * has experience with the Ruby language * knows how to use Git * has Debian packaging experience * is willing to dedicate some time to this package (the amount of needed time is not big: I will mostly need some review of my work, and occasionally some help on stuff I am not too expert at) Bonus points if the candidate is a DD or a DM, since I have no upload rights (and hence I would need a sponsor for each upload, in the absence of a DD or DM co-maintainer). Thanks in advance to anyone who volunteers! The package description is: apt-listbugs is a tool which retrieves bug reports from the Debian Bug Tracking System and lists them. Especially, it is intended to be invoked before each upgrade/installation by apt in order to check whether the upgrade/installation is safe. . Many developers and users prefer the unstable version of Debian for its new features and packages. apt, the usual upgrade tool, can break your system by installing a buggy package. . apt-listbugs lists critical bug reports from the Debian Bug Tracking System. Run it before apt to see if an upgrade or installation is known to be unsafe. ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: apt-listbugs Source-Version: 0.1.4 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of apt-listbugs, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: apt-listbugs_0.1.4.dsc to main/a/apt-listbugs/apt-listbugs_0.1.4.dsc apt-listbugs_0.1.4.tar.gz to main/a/apt-listbugs/apt-listbugs_0.1.4.tar.gz apt-listbugs_0.1.4_all.deb to main/a/apt-listbugs/apt-listbugs_0.1.4_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Swatch created a new meridian in Biel, Switzerland, the home of the company. This meridian is called Biel Mean Time (BMT) and will be the universal reference for the Internet time. . Bug#543907: Netbeans update
Hi Andres, Le Friday 18 February 2011 22:48:38, Damien Raude-Morvan a écrit : Le vendredi 18 février 2011 19:46:57, Andres Mejia a écrit : Damien, was there an issue with getting libnb-platform-java and netbeans uploaded to ftp-master? for the time being, no problem found: just lack enough time to thoroughly review these big source packages. I'll try to find some free time next week. Sorry for the delay... I finally managed to review the last package for netbeans 6.9 upload, netbeans itself. There is some issues with the upstream source tarball that need to be fixed before we can upload it to Debian archive. 1) There is some binary blobs in tarball and I don't know if those are rebuild from source during build (ie. we have to rebuild them). If that's the case, from which source code ? Maybe, we'll have to provide a stripped upstream tarball for now. Here is the list of binary blobs : ./dlight.nativeexecution/release/bin/nativeexecution/*/* ./ide/launcher/macosx/macosx_launcher.dmg ./ide/launcher/macosx/NetBeansLauncher/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/objects.nib ./lib.profiler/release/lib/deployed/cvm/linux/*.so ./lib.profiler/release/lib/deployed/jdk16/*/libprofilerinterface* ./lib.terminalemulator/demosrc/nativeexecution.test/release/bin/ptysupport/*/ptysatellite ./lib.uihandler/test/unit/src/org/netbeans/lib/uihandlerserver/antons.gz ./nbi/engine/native/cleaner/windows/vcproject/NBI Native Cleaner.ncb ./nbi/infra/build/jvm/tools/unzipsfx/*/unzipsfx 2) There is also some binary blobs which seems to be used for unit testing. Seems unit test are not launched, maybe we can strip that from tarball too. ./autoupdate.services/test/unit/src/org/netbeans/api/autoupdate/data/*.nbm ./autoupdate.services/test/unit/src/org/netbeans/modules/autoupdate/updateprovider/data/*.nbm ./lib.cvsclient/test/data/iz56710/binary.out ./profiler.oql/test/unit/src/org/netbeans/modules/profiler/oql/engine/api/impl/small_heap.bin ./subversion/test/qa-functional/data/repo_dump.gz 3) The J2EE tutorial source is under some binary *.fm files. Those files have a MakerFile 7.0 header. Does those files are used to generate some real resource in Debian package ? Do we have some tool in Debian to open those files ? What's licence of thise J2EE Tutorial ? ./usersguide/tutorials/j2ee-tut/fm/*.fm ./usersguide/tutorials/j2ee-tut/fm/J2EE-NBTutorial.book Cheers, -- Damien signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Before that can be completed, a package for gradle must reach unstable. I'm working on it right now. Quick update: Later I found out that Grails 1.3.x is uncompatible with Hibernate = 3.5. It builds just fine but is not usable. So, now I'm waiting for Grails 1.4. BTW, on this week upstream added support for Hibernate 3.6 but I don't know yet when Grails 1.4 could be released (maybe by the end of this year?). Gradle and Spring 3.0 already reached unstable, so the missing pieces to have Grails in Debian are: * Upload libradeox-java (or the fork prepared by Grails team). * Upload libhibernate3-java 3.6. * Reimplement a few classes providing JSON features because they are not DFSG-compliant (infamous clause of not doing evil with software...). Maybe another missing dependencies in Debian could appear with 1.4 release but after packaging Spring 3.0 and Gradle I guess that should not bring too much work compared with what is already done (famous last words?). -- Miguel Landaeta, miguel at miguel.cc secure email with PGP 0x7D8967E9 available at http://keyserver.pgp.com/ Faith means not wanting to know what is true. -- Nietzsche -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Technically, this decision was revoked, and the upstream continued the development, though moribundly, until 2006. Since 2002, the former Debian maintainer of these packages, Kevin B.
