Hi Evgeni,

It looks quite reasonable to me. Please feel free to upload.

The gtk patch in Ubuntu doesn't have any description, but here's the
changelog entry:

gtk+2.0 (2.21.5-1ubuntu3) maverick; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/012_ubuntu-set-grab-add.patch
- Added ubuntu_gtk_widget_set_has_grab so we can grab sliders and
things in menus, needed by ido

AFAICT, the only grab-able slider is in indicator-sound.

Bug#621632: O: hyperlatex

2011-04-07 Thread Roland Stigge
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

I'm orphaning the package hyperlatex. It's unmaintained upstream for years now
and it depends on an old emacs version (for emacs lisp in which it is
implemented). Therefore, it is RC-buggy now. I'm not a lisp programmer so I
won't port it to current emacs23.

The package is not in testing nor in squeeze.

If someone picks up the porting (and fixing) work, she would also need to take
over upstream maintenance in some way.

Otherwise, I propose the removal of hyperlatex.

Thanks!

bye,
  Roland

Replying to myself now that I've looked again: the "copyright" statement
(which doesn't actually include any copyright notices or list any copyright
holders!) is sufficiently vaguely-worded that I wouldn't want to upload it
to non-free, so we'll probably have to go the game-data-packager route.

Bug#481286: Game World of Padman

This is vaguely on my to-do list, but not particularly high on it. It's good
to hear that WoP's somewhat patched engine isn't necessary!

If I remember correctly, the WoP data is distributable but not DFSG-free,
so we'd have world-of-padman in contrib/games and world-of-padman-data-*
in non-free/games (or if I'm misremembering the license and it's not actually
distributable, we could use game-data-packager).

> CVARS="$CVARS +set fs_basepath /usr/share/wop"

Thanks, these look like a good basis for a world-of-padman package.

You might want to update Fedora's ioquake3 to a recent svn snapshot: in recent
versions (in particular, before the ones in Debian unstable and experimental,
r1858 and r1933 respectively), most of my patches have been upstreamed.
Sort of. Unfortunately, the variable names and semantics have changed during
the upstreaming process: you'd now use

+set com_homepath .wop
+set com_basegame wop
+set cl_gamename (in OA this is openarena, I forget what it does)

(An upstream release of ioquake3 1.37 would be nice, but I'm not holding
my breath...)

Description: daemon for subnet bandwidth monitoring with reporting via email
This is a daemon which can monitor as many different subnets (or individual
hosts, by specifying a "subnet" of /32) as you'd like. The reporting facility
will only be triggered when a defined bandwidth level had been exceeded for a
 defined time.
 .
Information reported includes the connections which are taking up the most
bandwidth (ip address and port pairs). Reporting is done via email.

Bug#621480: ITP: libshevek

2011-04-07 Thread Bas Wijnen
Package: wnpp

Libshevek is a library of functions and classes on top of gtkmm. It aims
at making them more easily usable, in particular to minimize the
configuration you need to do for useful default behaviour.

I am upstream of this library. I'm using it in several programs which I
intend to package eventually as well. As a first step, I want to package
the library.

License: GPL-3+
Current repository: http://a83-163-111-92.adsl.xs4all.nl/svn/trunk/libshevek
This is my home server; I've registered a project on Alioth where the
repository should be moved.

I don't commit it to the git repo. But we could decide to do the
opposite... It's mainly a matter of taste.

Anyway, debhelper now detects when quilt is used, that's why --with
quilt is not needed.

Well, the point is to ensure that we will know if the library breaks in
some months. :)

Bug#617214: ITP: cantarell-fonts -- Humanist sans-serif font family

2011-04-07 Thread Fabian Greffrath

Am 06.04.2011 15:13, schrieb Josselin Mouette:

What is exactly preventing the upload then? Is it about the build system
not regenerating fonts automatically?

I am still not sure myself...

Nicolas, what are the exact single issues that you think prevent us
from uploading the cantarell fonts package to experimental (I mean
package-wise)? GNOME 3 is out and I have been asked by several people
within the last few days about the status of these fonts.

I’m pretty sure the ftp-masters’ position on such topics is that as long
the sources are here, just installing the .otf files without rebuilding
them is fine.

There are even font packages that contain only the binary font files
(e.g. gsfonts) as long as the license is appropriate.

Bug#617854: Packaging puddletag for Debian

2011-04-07 Thread concentricpuddle
Thanks for the manpage and option parsing pointers. I'll take a look
at your suggestions.

Yeah, I use stdeb just to create the initial directory structure.
Thereafter it's all me. ;)

Think I'll pass. I'll leave it to the experts. ;)

Already sorted in the repo.

Into the PyQt resource file puddlestuff/resource.py. You can probably
extract them with a couple of lines of code.

Okay. The list follows. All of them were taken from
/usr/share/icons/oxygen on my system.

How do you treat .pc? Should I use patch-queue manner on git-buildpackage?

Currently, I'm frequently using this library on amd64 and i386.
This library works fine. However, I think your comment is reasonable.

Ok. I'll create some test suite. Please wait for a while...
