Bug#592218: Maven3 packaging status ?
Hello, I have created a team of people interested in packagin Maven 3 on Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/~maven3-debian-packagers Currently, the team is not really active, and I've been overwhelmed with work lately, but there is a good deal of work in progress however. I have updated this wiki page as well: https://wiki.debian.org/Java/Maven3 There is an important piece of work to complete before throwing our efforts into packaging: we should work on maven-debian-helper and in particular make the mh_make tool more robust and able to work on all kind of Maven projects, after this work packaging will be much more pleasant and quick. I want also to switch to using dh 7 instead of cdbs when building Maven packages, as dh 7 has lots of traction and it's faster and easier to debug than cdbs. LWP::Protocol::https is a plug-in to the LWP protocol handling, so you don't use it directly. Once the module is installed LWP is able to access sites using HTTP over SSL/TLS. If hostname verification is requested by LWP::UserAgent's ssl_opts, and neither SSL_ca_file nor SSL_ca_path is set, then SSL_ca_file is implied to be the one provided by Mozilla::CA. If the Mozilla::CA module isn't available SSL requests will fail. Either install this module, set up an alternative SSL_ca_file or disable hostname verification. This module used to be bundled with the libwww-perl, but it was unbundled in v6.02 in order to be able to declare its dependencies properly for the CPAN tool-chain. Applications that need https support can just declare their dependency on LWP::Protocol::https and will no longer need to know what underlying modules to install. --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: liblwp-protocol-https-perl Source-Version: 6.02-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of liblwp-protocol-https-perl, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02-1.debian.tar.gz to main/libl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02-1.debian.tar.gz liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02-1.dsc to main/libl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02-1.dsc liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02-1_all.deb to main/libl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02-1_all.deb liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02.orig.tar.gz to main/libl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl/liblwp-protocol-https-perl_6.02.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. The source code of the game is not available. I hope that the package will be included in non-free. Here is the license, in DEP-5 format: Format: http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/dep/web/deps/dep5.mdwn?op=file&rev=166 Upstream-Name: Out Of Order Upstream-Contact: Tim Furnish Source: http://outoforder.adventuredevelopers.com Files: * Copyright: 2000 - 2003 Tim Furnish License: Custom Greetings, Linux user. I see you can open and read text files. You're quite the computer expert, aren't you? Ace. With a spot of luck, then, you may also happen to be quite proficient at a game called Out Of Order. And, as good fortune would have it, that game should be provided in the same packagey bundle as this text file. Or vice versa, depending on point of view. My point is this: Out Of Order is a comedy sci-fi adventure game, set somewhere in some time period, featuring a guy in silly slippers and written originally for Windows. Or, rather, it was originally written for the freeware SLUDGE adventure game engine back in the day when there was only a Windows version. However, the times are very much a-changin' and the engine has since been ported to other platforms. Hooray for people with more time on their hands than myself! I admire and adore them all. As should you, because without them you'd not be able to play this fine game on your non-Windows machine. Hang on, was that actually my point? No, wait. THIS was my point: the initial distribution of Out Of Order contained the Windows engine. But I hereby give permission for you to possess a copy of the data file and a copy of the engine for another operating system of your choosing and experience the joys of the former via the modern miracle of the latter. But please - don't charge for it. And don't break the package apart and distribute bits of it individually. And don't try to reverse engineer it. And don't prod and poke at it with a HEX editor to make the characters say rude things about people you know, or to make it look like you wrote it. Just play it and love it and get in a grump with it when you can't get past some part of it. On which topic, a few hints for those who've read this far: everyone else's is on the outside of their door, read it out loud, and try using thing A in thing B in thing C, not just thing A in thing C. (Sorry about that third one.) . - Tim Furnish, June 2010 Comment: While the license text does not explicitly mention redistribution, Tim Furnish wrote in the same mail to me (Tobias Hansen) that also contained the license: . "Sore, by all means make the existing OOO data file available for Linux - with the engine if that's what you're suggesting. I must admit, despite having used Linux on and off for over 10 years, I've never packaged anything up for it for distribution so don't really have that much of a clue about what's involved. But yeah, go for it. The data file's freely distributable at the moment as part of the installer... so I guess there's no harm whatsoever in make it available outside of it." --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Source: out-of-order Source-Version: 1.0-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of out-of-order, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: out-of-order_1.0-1.debian.tar.gz to non-free/o/out-of-order/out-of-order_1.0-1.debian.tar.gz out-of-order_1.0-1.dsc to non-free/o/out-of-order/out-of-order_1.0-1.dsc out-of-order_1.0-1_all.deb to non-free/o/out-of-order/out-of-order_1.0-1_all.deb out-of-order_1.0.orig.tar.bz2 to non-free/o/out-of-order/out-of-order_1.0.orig.tar.bz2 A summary of the changes bet

This module provides a couple of functions for logging debug messages. It is sometimes practical to add a lot of debugging log messages to a program, but having them enabled all the time results in very large log files. Also, logging that much takes quite a bit of time. . This module provides a way to turn such debugging or tracing messages on and off, based on the filename they occur in. Bug#623790: (no subject)
Some dependencies required (available in Ubuntu and builds fine): * language-selector-common * gir1.2-vte-0.0 * archdetect-deb * apt-clone There's a depencency on ubiquity-casper, not sure how necessary it is. It depends on plymouth and upstart bits that are uninstallable. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#626837: RFP: libsys-mmap-perl
Hi Vagrant, I would like to help you with this package (especially because it blocks your zoneminder package) but not yet an expert in Debian's world and this will be my first *perl* package. (A good opportunity to learn) However, I'll do my best for packaging it. Cheers, Fabrizio. p.s. I'm not a DD so, in case package will be in a good shape, I need your support for upload it. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part

Bug#553704: Adopting flex-old
title 553704 ITA: flex-old -- The old version of the fast lexical analyzer generator owner 553704 ! thanks It isn't always very straightforward to update lexers using flex-old to use newer flex, and such software is still alive even if flex-old is something like 15 years old... Bug#627391: ITP: prank -- The Probabilistic Alignment Kit for biological sequences
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Manuel Prinz * Package name: prank Version : 100802 Upstream Author : Ari Loytynoja * URL : http://www.ebi.ac.uk/goldman-srv/prank/src/prank/ * License : GPL2+ Programming Lang: C++ Description : Probabilistic Alignment Kit for biological sequences PRANK is a probabilistic multiple alignment program for DNA, codon and amino-acid sequences. It's based on a novel algorithm that treats insertions correctly and avoids over-estimation of the number of deletion events. . In addition, PRANK borrows ideas from maximum likelihood methods used in phylogenetics and correctly takes into account the evolutionary distances between sequences. Lastly, PRANK allows for defining a potential structure for sequences to be aligned and then, simultaneously with the alignment, predicts the locations of structural units in the sequences. The package was prepared during the Debian Med meeting in Travemünde and is mostly ready for uploading to the archive. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
