Is there a policy for libraries with no stable API in Debian? Normally you need a stable ABI, so if library versioning is not handled by upstream then you handle the so versioning. Debian-specific so versioning is best avoided though... I suggest putting it in experimental for now No guarantees there, and people who want to test it can easily install it. :) Berto -- Andreas Henriksson -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#613300: preliminar fuse4bsd package available, PLEASE TEST
2011/6/7 Axel Beckert a...@debian.org: To help to fix all the bugs it blocks, it should at least provide fuse-utils (or even make a dummy package as some packages depend on a versioned fuse-utils like e.g. sshfs) and provide the same interface (i.e. /usr/bin/fusermount and /sbin/mount.fuse). I suspect we'll probably need wrapper scripts to provide these interfaces. We could have a fuse4bsd source package, then a fuse-utils binary with the userland utility (mount.fusefs), and another binary for the kfreebsd module. The latter will have to be versioned (e.g. fusefs-kmod-8.2-1-amd64) unless/until someone comes up with a better way (port dkms?). -- Robert Millan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#629599: RFA: qpxtool
Package: wnpp Severity: normal Due to the lack of time and interest in qpxtool, I request an adopter for it. The package is in good shape. The description follows: QPxTool gives you access to all available Quality Checks (Q-Checks) on written and blank media, that are available for your drive. This will help you to find the right media and the optimized writing speed for your hardware, which will increase the chance for a long data lifetime. . QPxTool depends on the used drive, not all drives are able to read the Q-Checks and not all of them are supported by QPxTool.
