Shouldn't this be named like -java or java- ?

Hope this helps.

So robust-http-client (the upstream project name) will become the source
package name; it will produce two binary packages:

  librobust-http-client-java
  librobust-http-client-java-doc

Hope this explains the naming a bit more clearly and how it relates to
-java

Cheers

Good, I'll start preparing the package in the next weeks and contact
you as soon as they're ready.

A quick update on this:

I've been talking to upstream and the problem now is that basically
Grilo doesn't have a stable API/ABI yet, so I'm not sure if it makes
sense to start packaging it so early.

Is there a policy for libraries with no stable API in Debian?

Normally you need a stable ABI, so if library versioning is not
handled by upstream then you handle the so versioning.
Debian-specific so versioning is best avoided though...

I suggest putting it in experimental for now No guarantees there,
and people who want to test it can easily install it. :)

experimental support for evolving machines (using a Genetic Algorithm) to

Bug#613300: preliminar fuse4bsd package available, PLEASE TEST

2011-06-07 Thread Robert Millan
2011/6/7 Axel Beckert a...@debian.org:
To help to fix all the bugs it blocks, it should at least provide
fuse-utils (or even make a dummy package as some packages depend on a
versioned fuse-utils like e.g. sshfs) and provide the same interface
 (i.e. /usr/bin/fusermount and /sbin/mount.fuse). I suspect we'll
probably need wrapper scripts to provide these interfaces.

We could have a fuse4bsd source package, then a fuse-utils
binary with the userland utility (mount.fusefs), and another
binary for the kfreebsd module.

The latter will have to be versioned (e.g. fusefs-kmod-8.2-1-amd64)
unless/until someone comes up with a better way (port dkms?).

Bug#629552: O: couchapp -- standalone CouchDB application development made simple

2011-06-07 Thread Євгеній Мещеряков
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the couchapp package. It is actively developed
upstream and new version is available. There are no bugs reported, but
new maintainer probably will have to check for bundled libraries.

The package description is:
CouchApp is a set of helpers and a jQuery plugin that conspire to
get you up and running on CouchDB quickly and correctly. It brings
clarity and order to the freedom of CouchDB's document-based approach.

TECkit is used to create mappings for the conversion of Unicode character sets.
They could be
converted on the command line but mostly they are used within XeTeX (both
developed side by
side) for typesetting certain Unicode sets through their equivalents in
transliteration. I think
it would be great if that would be available throught the repos.

Thank you very much.

Bug#629599: RFA: qpxtool

2011-06-07 Thread Alessio Treglia
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Due to the lack of time and interest in qpxtool, I request an adopter for it.
The package is in good shape.

The description follows:
QPxTool gives you access to all available Quality Checks (Q-Checks) on written
and blank media, that are available for your drive. This will help you to find
the right media and the optimized writing speed for your hardware, which will
increase the chance for a long data lifetime.
 .
QPxTool depends on the used drive, not all drives are able to read the Q-Checks
and not all of them are supported by QPxTool. Currently, most newer drives of
LiteOn, NEC, Pioneer and Plextor are supported.

Description: Interface to digital still cameras
This is a library and a command-line frontend to manipulate digital
still cameras based on Fujitsu chipset and Sierra Imaging firmware. The
program is known to work with Agfa, Epson and Olympus cameras. Should
also work with Sanyo, but this is untested.
 .
The cameras typically come with software for Windows and for Mac, and no
description of the protocol. With this tool, they are manageable from a
UNIX box. Bruce D. Lightner light...@metaflow.com has added support
for Win32 and DOS platforms. Note that the program does not have any
GUI, it is plain command-line even on Windows. For a GUI, check out
