Bug#627518: how is it going with the ITP? it will be needed for upcoming ipython
Hi Patrick, Thanks for the ITP. I wonder if there was any progress? It will soon be needed for upcoming new ipython release, so I thought to check on the status. Bug#609352: ITP: zdoom -- Enhanced Doom engine
Am 31.08.2011 22:20, schrieb Johey Shmit: I've now packaged a installer-script that takes care of downloading and building a zdoom package (http://mentors.debian.net/package/zdoom-installer). Any comments on that? So you are going to download fmod and its build-dependencies and build it and then download zdoom and its build-dependencies and build it against fmod? I think this just circumvents the main problem of the whole story: zdoom depends on non-free software! And apparently the fmod developers do not even want their software to be made freely available, so why all the fuzz? I don't think it helps... - Fabian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#640037: ITP: pydap -- DAP (Data Access Protocol) client and server
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Sandro Tosi mo...@debian.org * Package name: pydap Version : 2.2.6.7 Upstream Author : Roberto De Almeida r...@pydap.org * URL : http://pydap.org/2.x/ * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python Description : DAP (Data Access Protocol) client and server This is a Python implementation of the Data Access Protocol, a scientific protocol for data access developed by the OPeNDAP team (http://opendap.org). This implementation is developed from scratch, following the latest specification of the protocol (DAP 2.0 Draft Community Standard 2005/04/27) and based on my experience with OPeNDAP servers on the wild. . Using this module one can access hundreds of scientific datasets from Python programs, accessing data in an efficient, transparent and pythonic way. Arrays are manipulated like normal multi-dimensional arrays (like numpy.array, e.g.), with the fundamental difference that data is downloaded on-the-fly when a variable is sliced. Sequential data can be filtered on the server side before being downloaded, saving bandwith and time. . The module also implements a DAP server, allowing datasets from a multitude of formats (netCDF, Matlab, CSV, GrADS/GRIB files, SQL RDBMS) to be served on the internet. The server specifies a plugin API for supporting new data formats in an easy way. The DAP server is implemented as a WSGI application (see PEP 333), running on a variery of servers, and can be combined with WSGI middleware to support authentication, gzip compression and much more. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#619602: unarchiver patch to run on testing
For what it's worth, this patch makes TheUnarchiver2.7.1_src.zip build and run for me on wheezy. It just removes -lobjc from the link command.
